The British GP at the Silverstone Circuit turned out to be an absolute dream for Aprilia Racing, as the Italian manufacturer wrapped up a stunning podium lockout in the long race. It marked their third podium lockout of the current campaign, matching earlier clean sweeps at Le Mans and Assen.
Raúl Fernández Leads from Start to Finish
The standout star of the day was undoubtedly Raúl Fernández, riding for the Trackhouse MotoGP Team. Taking control right from the opening corner, Fernández delivered a masterclass in front-running control, leading every single lap from start to finish to claim an emphatic victory.
Fernández’s triumph means every single Aprilia rider on the grid has now won at least one Grand Prix this season. The victory represents Aprilia’s seventh MotoGP win of the year and their 15th overall in the premier class. Across all categories, the Noale-based manufacturer has now reached an incredible milestone of 309 World Championship victories.
Jorge Martín Fights Back to Second
Starting from pole position, Jorge Martín suffered a tricky getaway that saw him drop several places early on. However, the Spanish rider showed brilliant pace to carve his way back through the field to finish second.
The result marked Martín’s sixth podium of the season and the 38th top-class podium of his career. More importantly, it keeps him firmly at the top of the championship standings with 240 points.
Reflecting on his performance, Martín mentioned that he was very happy to rediscover his speed after a period where he felt they had lost their way a little. He explained that returning to a setup that previously worked for them made all the difference. He admitted his main mistake was a poor start and being too optimistic at Turn 1, where he did not brake hard enough. This prevented his ride-height device from disengaging properly, costing him positions. Ultimately, knowing he has the pace to fight for wins has restored his confidence.
Injured Marco Bezzecchi Secures Third
Taking the final spot on the podium was Marco Bezzecchi, who delivered a courageous ride to finish third. Starting fifth on the grid, the Italian made an aggressive start to join the lead group straight away. Despite still recovering from injuries picked up at the Sachsenring, Bezzecchi defended his position stubbornly all the way to the chequered flag.
This was Bezzecchi’s seventh podium of the season and his 25th in the premier class. The points haul moves him back into second place in the overall championship standings on 209 points, ensuring Aprilia riders currently hold the top three positions in the World Championship standings:
- 1st: Jorge Martín (240 pts)
- 2nd: Marco Bezzecchi (209 pts)
- 3rd: Ai Ogura
Bezzecchi expressed how badly he wanted the result, stating he could not give up after all the hard work put in by his team and his own training efforts over the summer break. He gave huge credit to his crew, the staff at Noale, and extended a special mention to Michele Colaninno for calling him frequently to offer personal support.

Aprilia Racing’s CEO, Massimo Rivola, described it as an almost perfect weekend at a venue that has historically been kind to the brand. Rivola offered his warm congratulations to Raúl Fernández, team owner Justin Marks, and the entire SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team for their contribution to growing the MotoGP project.
Rivola highlighted that the hunger for victory at Noale remains as strong as ever, noting that new technical updates were brought directly to Silverstone. He praised Martín for riding with great ease and confidence, while commending Bezzecchi for digging deep into energy reserves nobody thought he had. Looking ahead, Rivola acknowledged that the next stop on the calendar is in Marc Márquez territory, but affirmed that Aprilia will throw everything at it to remain competitive.
