Bajaj Auto has officially expanded its popular Pulsar N lineup with the launch of two brand-new models, the Pulsar N160 S and the Pulsar N160 SS. Marking 25 years of the iconic Pulsar brand, these latest additions are engineered to set fresh benchmarks in the 160cc sports motorcycle category by blending enhanced performance, smart electronic features, and aggressive streetfighter styling.
Offered alongside the existing N160, the new Pulsar N160 S enters the market at INR 1,33,511 (ex-showroom Delhi), while the flagship Pulsar N160 SS is priced at INR 1,42,585 (ex-showroom Delhi). Both bikes are available across Bajaj Auto dealerships nationwide.

Since its debut, the Pulsar N160 platform has established itself as one of the fastest-growing motorbikes in its class. In the first six months of this calendar year alone, the model experienced a 60% growth rate—three times higher than the relevant industry average. It stands as the most searched sports motorcycle online, with 70% of its rider base under the age of 35.
Building on established favorites like projector LED headlamps, gold USD front forks, a comfortable single seat, and streetfighter ergonomics, the N160 S and N160 SS expand Bajaj’s broader Pulsar portfolio, which spans from 125cc to 250cc.

Powerful 165cc 4-Valve Engine Performance
Sitting at the heart of both new motorbikes is a fresh 165cc 4-valve (4V) engine. Delivering 18.5 PS, it produces the highest power output in its segment. It also records the quickest sprint in its class, accelerating from 0–60 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
Intelligent Throttle (ETB) and Advanced Electronic Aids
The new lineup integrates an Intelligent Throttle (ETB) system, designed to continuously optimise throttle response for smoother power delivery across various conditions. This setup enables several rider-focused electronic features:
- Four Responsive Ride Modes: Both models feature four dedicated ETB ride modes—Rain, Road, Sport, and Off-road. These modes tailor engine response for daily urban commutes, open highway runs, wet roads, or loose off-road trails.
- Responsive Traction Control (N160 SS): Exclusive to the flagship Pulsar N160 SS, this ETB-driven traction control system helps maintain rear-wheel grip across changing road surfaces to boost rider confidence.
- Crawl Technology: Designed specifically for heavy stop-and-go city traffic, Crawl Tech permits smooth low-speed movement in higher gears without requiring constant clutch work or frequent gear shifting.
First-in-Segment Display and Mirroring Navigation
The flagship Pulsar N160 SS introduces a 5-inch TFT console featuring Google Maps mirroring—a first for any sports motorcycle in India. This screen brings familiar, full-featured navigation straight onto the instrument dashboard for seamless route tracking.
Ergonomics, Design, and Colour Options
Visually, the new Pulsar variants build on their aggressive streetfighter silhouette with updated graphics, colour-matched alloy wheels, an adjusted handlebar angle, and an updated seat height intended to improve overall riding comfort.
