India’s First AI-Powered Electric Scooter: E3 Electric.AI Launches the E3 TRION in Bengaluru

Bengaluru-based electric mobility startup E3 Electric.AI has officially stepped into the passenger electric scooter market with the launch of its flagship vehicle, the E3 TRION. Marketed as India’s first intelligent electric scooter powered by AI-led predictive intelligence, the multi-variant two-wheeler brings a modular architecture aimed at transforming the everyday riding and ownership experience.

The company has introduced the E3 TRION at a special introductory ex-showroom Bengaluru price starting at INR 99,999/- for its base variant, the C1. Pre-bookings have opened in Bengaluru via the official portal at E3Trion, with rollouts to other Indian markets scheduled to follow.

A Mars Rover-Inspired Platform for Indian Roads

Inspired by the design ethos of the Mars Rover—built to be stable, purposeful, and adaptable to real-world uncertainty—the E3 TRION blends modularity with practical utility. The scooter’s foundation rests on the TRIAXISFRAME, a scalable modular platform designed to accommodate diverse battery setups, enhance overall serviceability, and future-proof the vehicle for prospective upgrades.

E3 Electric.AI’s Founder & CEO, Sanjeev P., emphasized during the launch that the scooter was created specifically around the daily commuting expectations of Indian families:

“E3 Trion isn’t an electric scooter with an app bolted on. It is built with AI at its core, human centric engineering and a modular future-ready platform. Every problem that’s held Indian families back from going electric – range anxiety, safety, service, cost, is something we designed around from day one. We didn’t want to build just another electric scooter, we set out to build an electric scooter where predictive intelligence is core to the architecture… This is a meaningful step toward mobility that’s not only efficient, but genuinely aligned with what modern Indian riders expect.”

Key Variants, Battery Options, and Performance

The E3 TRION lineup consists of three distinct variants tailored to different daily needs:

E3 TRION C1: Available at an introductory price of INR 99,999/- (ex-showroom Bengaluru). It features a 2.3 kWh portable VOLTPORT removable battery, giving riders the flexibility to charge at home, in the office, or via public charging points. It comes equipped with Eco and Power riding modes.
E3 TRION C1x: Priced at an introductory ex-showroom Bengaluru price of INR 1,09,999/-. This variant features a fixed 3 kWh battery and delivers an Indian Driving Cycle (IDC) range of 165 km. Like the C1, it offers Eco and Power modes.
E3 TRION C2: The top-tier variant carries an introductory ex-showroom Bengaluru price of INR 1,19,999/-. Also powered by the 3 kWh fixed battery, the C2 adds a Sport mode alongside Eco and Power modes. It reaches a top speed of 82 km/h and accelerates from 0–40 km/h in 6 seconds.

Both battery setups rely on durable LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) chemistry engineered for up to 8 years of real-world use. The system incorporates an AI Digital Twin for real-time diagnostics, performance tracking, and battery monitoring. E3 Electric.AI supports the scooter with an extended warranty covering up to 1 lakh km or 8 years.

Drive power is delivered via a high-efficiency PMSM hub motor featuring ROTORING technology paired with a detachable rim to allow faster, more economical servicing.

Predictive Intelligence and Connected Features

At the technical center of the scooter is the E3 COMMANDCENTER, supported by the proprietary E3 intelligent IoT CORE and cloud intelligence. The system monitors connected vehicles continuously to detect potential issues before breakdowns happen, issue preventive maintenance alerts, and deliver over-the-air software updates over time.

Riders interact with the vehicle through the TRIPSENSE Intelligent Cockpit, which pairs the rider’s smartphone with a 5-inch INSIGHT DISPLAY. The ecosystem packs over 100+ intelligent features, including:

AI HEALTHSCAN: Performs a full vehicle diagnostic scan in 10 seconds.
E3 Foresight: Generates predictive maintenance and vehicle health reports.
Smart Trip Planner: Calculates routes and locates available charging points.
Live Connected Services: Integrated turn-by-turn navigation, real-time vehicle telemetry, and remote battery monitoring.
Safety & Security: Integrated dashcam support, SOS emergency assistance, and geofencing boundaries.

Engineering, Comfort, and Storage

To tackle diverse urban and rural road conditions across India, the E3 TRION uses large 14-inch TRAKWHEEL wheels, providing enhanced road grip, stability, and handling compared to smaller conventional scooter wheels.

The vehicle incorporates IP67 weather protection and electrical safeguards against voltage fluctuations. Visibility is handled by the LIGHTIQ Intelligent Lighting System, which pairs dual projector LED headlamps (designed for low glare) with premium collimator signature rear lights for highway and low-light riding.

Ergonomically, the scooter utilizes ERGORIDE anthropometric engineering, optimizing six primary human contact points for balanced seating posture, natural visibility, relaxed handlebar reach, leg room, foot placement, and easy ground reach. Practical utility is highlighted by up to 52 litres of combined storage space distributed across the boot, floorboard area, and glove box.
