Anticipation is building in the competitive B-segment sub-4m SUV market as Maruti Suzuki prepares to officially unveil the updated Brezza facelift on 24 July 2026. As one of India’s top-selling compact SUVs, the model remains a key volume driver for the carmaker, competing directly with established rivals such as the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, and Punch Turbo.

Official bookings are already open for a nominal deposit of Rs 11,000. Giving eager car buyers a sneak peek ahead of the grand unveil, early units of the facelifted Brezza have already started arriving at dealer stockyards across the country.

Dealer Yard Spy Shots Reveal Fresh Front-End Styling

A recent video shared online by content creator Abhay Sontakke captured the updated sub-4m SUV being unloaded from a car transporter truck at a local dealership yard. The vehicle shown in the video appears to be a lower-tier trim level, distinguished by its black steel wheels rather than alloy wheels.

Despite the disguise-free appearance, several exterior cosmetic changes are clearly visible along the front fascia and side profile:

  • Revised Grille & Bumper: A refreshed front grille is paired with a redesigned front bumper structure.
  • New Lighting Units: Reworked headlight assemblies are joined by newly designed triangular-shaped fog light housings.
  • Trim Differences: Entry-level variants are slated to carry halogen projector headlights, whereas higher-spec grades will benefit from full LED headlights and LED fog lamps.
  • Alloy Wheels & Rear Profile: As observed in previous spy photos, top-tier models will feature a new alloy wheel design. Changes to the rear profile appear minimal, maintaining a familiar look.

On the inside, cabin updates are subtle but functional, headlined by a larger touchscreen infotainment display to help the model keep pace with modern tech expectations in the segment.

Big Powertrain Upgrade: 1.0L BoosterJet Turbo Engine

The most significant change for the Maruti Brezza facelift lies under the bonnet. Maruti Suzuki is introducing a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder BoosterJet turbo-petrol engine, likely shared with the Fronx Turbo.

This higher 120 PS power output brings the updated Brezza on par with turbo-petrol options offered by competitors like the Nexon, Sonet, Venue, and Punch Turbo. Furthermore, pairing this engine with a 6-speed manual transmission marks the first time a 6-speed manual gearbox option has been offered on a Brezza model.

Boot Space Boost for CNG Variants

For buyers interested in factory-fitted bi-fuel options, the CNG variants of the new Brezza facelift are expected to gain a notable practical upgrade. Maruti Suzuki is reportedly shifting to an underbody CNG tank setup, which moves the fuel cylinder beneath the floor pan and frees up significantly more usable luggage capacity in the boot.
