Ola Electric launched the all-new S1Z scooter range, marking the first time its indigenously developed Bharat Cell LFP technology has been brought to India’s mass market. Developed at its Battery Innovation Centre and manufactured at the Ola Gigafactory, the S1Z introduces Ola’s 46 series LFP cell platform technology to its most accessible scooter range yet.

By developing and producing its Bharat Cell LFP tech in-house, Ola Electric has significantly reduced battery costs—the largest single cost component in an electric vehicle—to offer safer, longer-lasting LFP chemistry at value-segment price points.

Design, Features, and MoveOS 5 Technology
The S1Z rides on 12-inch wheels across all variants and comes in four colour options: White, Anthracite, Sky Splash Blue, and Matcha Green. Built on the idea that value-segment buyers shouldn’t have to sacrifice safety, technology, or performance, the S1Z delivers ‘Zyada’ (more) value.
Powered by MoveOS 5, the scooter packs a suite of smart connectivity and safety features:
- Smart Riding Controls: Features cruise control, advanced regenerative braking, reverse mode, and an ‘Easy Park’ function that lets riders maneuver tight parking spots with a simple twist of the wrist.
- Connectivity & App Features: Equipped with built-in GPS and over-the-air (OTA) software updates. Through the Ola Electric App, owners can access energy insights, ride statistics, as well as geo, time, and mode fencing options.

The S1Z is also set to lead Ola Electric’s next retail phase, becoming the first product line to roll out across its new dealer-operated stores alongside its established company-owned network to widen nationwide access.
