Marking an entire decade since the original adventure motorcycle debuted, the brand has officially brought back the spirit of its much-loved machine with the launch of the Royal Enfield Himalayan 440. Unveiled at the inaugural Himalayan Basecamp in Ladakh on 4 September 2026, the updated motorcycle combines the classic character of the original model with an upgraded frame, an all-new heart, and a host of mechanical refinements.
Priced from ₹2,29,000 (ex-showroom, Tamil Nadu), order books are officially open at authorized dealerships across India and through Royal Enfield’s website.
A Decade of Adventure Heritage
The story began ten years ago when the original 411 first carved out a dedicated niche for accessible adventure touring. Rather than attempting to dominate landscapes, it gained fame for flowing seamlessly across tough terrain. Over the last ten years, the Himalayan family—spanning the original machine and the liquid-cooled Himalayan 450 introduced in 2023—has found homes with over 320,000 riders worldwide.

To celebrate the milestone, early production units will roll off the line carrying a special ten-year anniversary badge on the fuel tank. Riders can pick from three fresh colour options: Sela Black, Mustang Brown, and Nelong White.
