As dawn breaks across different time zones on 20 September 2026, the world’s largest motorcycling community will roll out for its biggest outing yet: One Ride 2026. Bringing together riders from Mumbai to Madrid, São Paulo to Sydney, and plenty of places in between, Royal Enfield’s 125th-anniversary edition of One Ride is set to feature more than 1,600 individual rides spread across upwards of 60 countries, linking enthusiasts across continents and cultures through a shared love of the open road.
This time around, the iconic global event takes on a vital environmental mission: backing the conservation of the endangered snow leopard and protecting the fragile Himalayan landscape it relies on.
Each year, One Ride puts Royal Enfield’s Pure Motorcycling philosophy into practice, rallying riders across the globe while encouraging everyone to leave every destination better than they found it. The 2026 run marks a massive company milestone as Royal Enfield celebrates its 125th year—a longstanding heritage shaped by everyday riders, their chosen roads, and the journeys they return with. Setting out to build on the momentum of One Ride 2025, which saw over 53,000 riders turn up, the 125th edition aims to cast an even wider net.
Highlighting the meaning behind the route, Mohit Dhar Jayal, President – Brand and Strategy at Royal Enfield, pointed out that the Himalayas have always held a sacred spot for the community. While riders view the mountain range as an ultimate pilgrimage, it serves as the everyday habitat for the snow leopard. He noted that marking 125 years gives Royal Enfield the perfect opportunity to unite its worldwide riding network around this bond and the duty tied to it. The brand’s connection to its spiritual Himalayan home goes beyond simply crossing the terrain; for 2026, every single One Ride registration will convert into a direct financial pledge from Royal Enfield towards snow leopard preservation, transforming the group ride into active conservation.
The Himalayas serve as much more than an epic riding backdrop—they are home to ancient communities and wildlife that have lived side by side for generations. The snow leopard sits right at the centre as a critical keystone species, keeping the region’s delicate balance intact. Relying on continuous conservation projects headed by the Royal Enfield Social Mission, this year’s One Ride ties every participant’s saddle time directly to the survival of these big cats.
In India, the snow leopard population currently stands at 718 individuals. Through dedicated community conservation projects, the Royal Enfield Social Mission actively works across Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, and Jammu and Kashmir to protect vital snow leopard territory. These existing efforts now span over 10,500 square kilometres of mountain habitat, with 53 square kilometres formally managed under its community conservation programme.
