Royal Enfield celebrated its 125th anniversary year with its biggest community event to date and yours truly joined in at the Bengaluru gathering. More than 150,000 riders took to the tarmac and trails across 60 countries, clocking up more than 1,600 individual rides for the latest instalment of One Ride 2026. First launched back in 2011, this annual global gathering reached unprecedented scale this year, bringing together motorcycling enthusiasts across borders, varied landscapes, and thousands of miles for a single shared cause.
This year’s event ran under the theme “Every Rider. Every Road. One Mission.”, with Royal Enfield committing a direct financial pledge towards protecting the elusive snow leopard and its delicate high-Himalayan habitat for every single participant who joined in.
Riding for a Social Mission in the High Himalayas
The motorcycling brand’s support for wildlife conservation forms part of its broader Social Mission work across the Himalayan region. Royal Enfield’s ongoing initiatives span Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, and Jammu and Kashmir—covering over 10,500 square kilometres of critical snow leopard habitat, which includes 53 square kilometres managed under dedicated community conservation schemes. Currently, India is estimated to be home to around 718 snow leopards.
What Comes Next: Aftermovie and Conservation Pledge Reveal
Although the main riding activities wrapped up on September 20, 2026, the campaign extends into the autumn with two key milestones scheduled for October 23, 2026, coinciding with International Snow Leopard Day:
- Global One Ride 2026 Aftermovie Premiere: A official film capturing the energy and highlights of riders who took part across the globe.
- Final Pledge Announcement: Royal Enfield will reveal the exact total sum raised and contributed through the ride to support ongoing snow leopard conservation programmes.
