The Toyota Innova Hycross facelift has finally been caught testing on Indian roads, and even under heavy camouflage, there’s plenty to talk about. Spy shots of the test mule have given the first proper look at what’s coming, with a revised fascia, tweaked bumpers and fresh lighting units all on show.
Here’s a quick rundown of what’s been spotted so far:

Even with camouflage covering most of the design, the spy shots give away a fair bit. The Toyota Innova Hycross facelift looks set to get sleeker headlights featuring new projector units, along with a grille that appears squarer than what’s currently on offer. The front bumper also looks like it’s been redesigned for the update.
Side-on, there’s not much that’s changed. The alloy wheels on the Innova Hycross facelift look pretty much identical to the ones on the current car, and the wheel arches still carry those chunky bulges for the cladding. Round the back, though, it’s a different story – new LED tail-light elements seem to have made their way onto the facelifted model. A rear wiper, a roof-mounted spoiler and a shark-fin antenna were also spotted on the test mule.
Other changes expected on the Innova Hycross facelift
The cabin hasn’t been caught on camera just yet, but it’s a safe bet that Toyota will give the Innova Hycross facelift’s interior a bit of a refresh to bring it up to date. Expect new trims and upholstery as part of the update, though whether Toyota throws in any new features remains to be seen.
As for what’s under the bonnet, the Innova Hycross facelift is expected to soldier on with the same powertrain options as the current car. That means buyers should still get a choice between a 173hp, 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with a CVT automatic, or a 184hp, 2.0-litre petrol-hybrid setup mated to an e-CVT.
Toyota typically waits around four years before rolling out a mid-cycle facelift for its models, and the Innova Hycross first launched back in December 2022. Going by that pattern, the facelifted Innova Hycross is expected to launch in early 2027. Once it arrives, it’ll continue to go up against the rebadged Maruti Suzuki Invicto, while also standing as a combustion-powered option for buyers eyeing eMPVs like the Mahindra XEV 9S and BYD eMax 7.
