Erik Buell Racing, an independent motorcycle manufacturer established by Erik Buell, has just released more info about their flagship motorcycle called the 1190RS. With a lightweight 1190cc V-twin at the heart, the 1190RS weighs just 176 kg without fuel and we’re guessing around 193 kg with fuel. To put that into perspective, the more powerful BMW S1000RR weighs approximately 207 kg. Buell Motorcycle Company, which was owned by Harley-Davidson, ceased production in 2009. Known for their innovative ideas like the chassis doubling up as the fuel tank and brake assembly attached to the rims to reduce front end weight, Erik Buell Racing is carrying that tradition forward with the 1190RS. All of this in their attempt to make the best sports motorcycle.

This race-prepped motorcycle costs around $40,000(Rs.18,40,000) with $4000 for the optional Carbon package. Not the lightest hit on your bank account. But with only 100 going into production it is definitely on its way to become a collector’s motorcycle.
