India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd. has unveiled the 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 650 in India, aimed at riders who want proper sportbike performance without sacrificing daily comfort and practicality. Priced at ₹7,91,000 (ex-showroom), the new Ninja 650 arrives in a striking Lime Green colour option, carrying forward the iconic Ninja lineage with sharper styling, modern tech, and a rider-friendly nature.

The MY26 Ninja 650 is powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 8-valve parallel-twin engine that produces 50.2 kW (68 PS) at 8,000 rpm and 64 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm. Power is sent through a 6-speed gearbox with an assist & slipper clutch, giving smoother downshifts and lighter clutch feel. The engine is tuned for strong mid-range torque, making it ideal for highway cruising, fast cornering, and everyday commute duty.

Up front, the bike uses a telescopic fork with 125 mm of wheel travel, while the rear gets a Horizontal Backlink swingarm with 130 mm of travel, delivering a balance of agility, stability, and comfort. The chassis is designed for lightweight, predictable handling, with 17-inch wheels helping the Ninja 650 stay planted and confidence-inspiring on both city streets and twisty backroads.

Riders get a sporty yet upright riding position, which blends aggressive Ninja stance with all-day comfort, making it suitable for both weekday use and spirited weekend rides. Passenger comfort is also considered, with a well-padded seat and practical grab rails for the pillion.

On the tech front, the MY26 Ninja 650 packs a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT display, offering crisp, high-visibility readouts for speed, gear position, ride data, and vehicle information. The display also supports smartphone connectivity via RIDEOLOGY THE APP, allowing riders to access ride logs and notifications. Twin LED headlights with low/high beam and position lamps enhance both visibility and the sharp Ninja look.

For rider safety and control, the bike is equipped with Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), offering different modes to suit sporty riding, low-grip surfaces, or more controlled behaviour depending on conditions. Together with the planted chassis and progressive suspension, this tech helps make every ride both exciting and reassuring.

Summed up, the MY26 Kawasaki Ninja 650 combines:

  • A punchy 649cc parallel-twin with 68 PS and 64 Nm
  • Light, agile handling with a comfortable, upright sport riding position
  • 4.3-inch TFT display, LED lighting, and smartphone connectivity
  • KTRC traction control for added safety and confidence
