KTM’s move into the 160cc space is smart – it opens the doors for a new wave of young riders who’ve always eyed the Duke family but wanted something more accessible. The new 164.2cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine isn’t just powerful for its segment, it’s backed by KTM’s signature performance-focused engineering.
Some of the standout kit includes KTM’s split trellis frame for nimble handling, WP Apex forks with a hollow axle for precision and rigidity, bionic light wheels to shave off unsprung weight, and a sleek cast pillion step holder with a practical grab rail. Stopping power comes from a 320mm front disc and 230mm rear disc, giving riders braking confidence to match the speed. A modern 5-inch LCD display completes the premium feel.
The 160 Duke is aimed squarely at riders making their first step into the premium sports bike world – blending everyday rideability with the aggressive streetfighter attitude KTM is famous for. With its lightweight build, rider-focused ergonomics, and unmistakable naked-Duke styling, it’s going to be hard for young enthusiasts to resist.
KTM says this bike will help expand its footprint in the premium sport segment, joining the brand’s Naked Street line-up that now spans 160cc to 400cc. As Manik Nangia, President – Probiking, puts it: “Inside every one of us is a racer… With the KTM 160 Duke, we’ve distilled KTM’s legendary DNA into a motorcycle that’s more accessible than ever — without compromising on performance, precision, or attitude.”
