TVS Motor Company and BMW Motorrad have just hit a big milestone together, crossing 2 lakh (200,000) units produced under their long-running partnership. This latest landmark also coincides with the start of production for the brand-new BMW F 450 GS at TVS Motor’s Hosur plant in India.

The partnership between TVS and BMW Motorrad kicked off back in 2013, and over more than a decade it has consistently raised the bar in the sub-500cc motorcycle segment. Together, the two brands have rolled out world-class bikes for riders across the globe, blending German engineering with Indian manufacturing strength.

KN Radhakrishnan, Director and CEO of TVS Motor Company, called the journey a true example of engineering synergy and shared values. Over the years, the alliance has produced several breakthrough products that have found success in over 100 markets across Europe, the Americas and Asia. Celebrating the 200,000-unit mark, he also highlighted the rollout of the BMW F 450 GS, recently showcased at EICMA 2025, as a new chapter that shows off TVS Motor’s state-of-the-art capability in building premium motorcycles.

Markus Flasch, CEO of BMW Motorrad, described the 2 lakh milestone as proof of how strong and successful this collaboration has become. What started as a bold alliance has turned into a major success story, with sub-500cc models like the BMW G 310 R, G 310 GS and G 310 RR becoming hugely popular worldwide and forming a key pillar of BMW Motorrad’s growth. The new BMW F 450 GS, now being built at Hosur, is set to lead the next phase of this journey, bringing a fresh middleweight adventure bike into the mix.
