TVS Motor Company officially dropped the all-new 2026 range of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. TVS is bringing high-end features that were previously reserved for top-tier models down to the rest of the line up. The big news? Projector headlamps, All-LED lighting, and Assist & Slipper Clutch technology are now standard features across more variants.

What’s New for the 2026 Range?

TVS has introduced two new variants to sit alongside the existing top-spec model. This move ensures that even more riders get access to “Track to Road” technology without needing to spring for the absolute most expensive trim.

The Feature Upgrades include:

  • Class-D Projector Headlamp: This best-in-segment tech, complete with LED DRLs, massiveley improves night-time visibility and safety.
  • All-LED Lighting: From the headlamp to the turn signals, everything is now crisp, clear LED.
  • Assist & Slipper Clutch: This makes downshifts smoother and reduces lever effort—a lifesaver in heavy city traffic or during aggressive track riding.

Breaking Down the 2026 Variants

TVS has made it easy to pick the right ride based on your budget and tech needs. Here’s how the new lineup looks for the Apache RTR 160 4V:

Still the Performance Benchmark

While the lights and clutch are new, the legendary “Sherpa-lite” performance remains untouched. The Apache RTR 160 4V is still India’s most powerful 160cc motorcycle, pushing out a best-in-class 17.55 PS.

Core Performance Stats:

  • Engine: 160cc 4-valve oil-cooled motor.
  • Ride Modes: Three segment-first modes—Sport, Urban, and Rain—that tune the power and ABS response.
  • Tech Suite: TVS SmartXonnect™ featuring turn-by-turn navigation and call alerts.
  • Handling: A hydroformed handlebar and radial rear tyre for that “glued to the road” feeling.

Mr. Vimal Sumbly, Head of Business – Premium at TVS, pointed out that the Apache series now has the trust of over 6.5 million riders in 60+ countries. This 2026 update is all about meeting the “evolving expectations” of riders who want premium performance and safety at an attractive price point.

With the addition of Granite Grey, Pearl White, and Marine Blue to the color palette (depending on your variant choice), the Apache looks just as fast as it goes.

Are you planning to upgrade to the new Dual Channel ABS variant with USD forks, or is the Traction Control on the TFT model too good to pass up?
