Ather Energy is proving that selling electric scooters is only half the battle—keeping them running perfectly is where the real magic happens. The Bengaluru-based EV giant announced a massive milestone: its service network has officially expanded to 500 authorized centers across India. In just one year, Ather has nearly doubled its service reach, jumping from 277 to 500 centers during FY26. This aggressive expansion is part of a “service-first” strategy, ensuring that wherever an Ather scooter is sold, a dedicated support team is already waiting.
More Than Just a Garage: The “Gold” Standard of Service
Ather isn’t just opening more doors; they are leveling up the entire customer experience. For riders who value their time and comfort, the brand has introduced some pretty slick upgrades:
- Gold Service Centres: These aren’t your typical oily workshops. They feature modern customer lounges and high-tech equipment designed for total transparency.
- ExpressCare: Need a quick tune-up? This 60-minute periodic maintenance service is now available at 82 centers, letting riders get back on the road in an hour without skipping on quality.
- Trained Technicians: Whether it’s a routine check or a complex fix, every center is staffed with experts specifically trained in Ather’s tech ecosystem.
Scaling Up for the 450 Series and the Rizta
This growth spurt comes at the perfect time. With the high-performance Ather 450 line and the new Rizta family scooter flying out of showrooms, the brand is reaching a much wider variety of riders.
To keep up with this demand, Ather has balanced its service growth with its retail footprint. As of December 31, 2025, the company already had 600 Experience Centres, and they are currently on track to hit 700 Experience Centres by the end of FY26. This ensures that riders in Tier-1, Tier-2, and even emerging cities have a reliable home base for their EVs.
A Word from Ather’s Leadership
Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer at Ather Energy, noted that crossing the 500-center mark is a huge deal for the brand’s scalability. He emphasized that building service capacity alongside sales is a “core part of the overall ownership experience,” ensuring consistent quality no matter where a rider is located in India.
Strengthening the Entire EV Ecosystem
It’s not just about the wrenches and screwdrivers, though. Ather is also powering the journey with Ather Grid, which stands as India’s largest two-wheeler fast-charging network. As of late 2025, they’ve installed over 4,357 fast-charging points and neighborhood chargers, making sure that “range anxiety” stays in the rearview mirror.
