At the 2026 Milan Design Week, the legendary German tuner BRABUS has teamed up with French electric bike specialists DAB Motors to unveil a trio of exclusive two-wheelers. The collaboration has birthed the DAB 1a BRABUS, the BRABUS URBAN E, and the strictly limited BRABUS URBAN E FIRST EDITION. These aren’t just bikes; they are high-performance statements designed to turn heads in the city.
Performance with Electric Innovation
All three models are built on a high-performance electric platform featuring a 72-volt lithium-ion battery. This setup delivers a solid range of up to 150 kilometres (93 miles), making it perfect for zipping through the city or hitting the open road. Power is sent to the rear wheel via a low-maintenance carbon belt, allowing all three bikes to hit a top speed of 120 km/h (75 mph).
The Line-up: From Entry-Level Luxury to Overboosted Power
1. DAB 1a BRABUS
Consider this the entry point into the world of BRABUS electric motorcycles. Priced at 16,900 euros (plus VAT), it focuses on a stunning visual overhaul.
- Design: Clad entirely in black with signature exposed carbon-fibre side ducts, engine covers, and fenders.
- Seating: Luxurious Alcantara upholstery with grey stitching.
- Power: Delivers 23 kW / 31 hp and a punchy 395 Nm of torque.
- Charging: Using a standard 220-volt household outlet, it goes from 20% to 100% in about three hours.
2. BRABUS URBAN E
This model steps things up with a technical boost. For 22,900 euros, you get roughly 20% more power, bringing the output to 27 kW / 37 hp and a massive 475 Nm (350 lb-ft) of torque.
- Tech: Custom carbon-fibre air ducts provide extra cooling for the motor during heavy use.
- Aesthetics: A “tank”/seat fairing in a monocoque style, featuring vertical daytime running lights and an illuminated BRABUS logo.
- Premium Touch: The BRABUS Masterpiece seat is finished in striking red leather with “Shell” quilting.
- Riding Modes: Includes Eco, Street, Sport, and a Nitrous Boost function for 10 seconds of maximum overtaking power. It even has a Reverse mode for easy parking.
3. BRABUS URBAN E FIRST EDITION
For the serious collectors, this limited run is the crown jewel. Only 10 units will be produced in each of the four signature BRABUS colours: Peetch, Desert Sand, Superviolet, and Fusion Red. Priced at 32,500 euros, these bikes feature colour-matched frames and leather seats to match the paintwork.
Engineering and Hardware
The partnership leverages DAB Motors’ expertise in lightweight architecture. The bikes aren’t just pretty; they are built to handle:
- Suspension: Fully adjustable 46 mm inverted forks at the front and a CNC-machined rear shock, both offering 100mm of travel.
- Braking: A high-end Brembo system with a four-piston caliper and 320mm floating disc at the front, supported by dual ABS for total safety.
- Connectivity: A 2.8-inch LCD display shows all your vitals, and a keyless system lets you start the bike via a PIN code.
Where to See Them
If you’re in Milan between April 20 and 26, 2026, you can catch these electric machines at the Opificio 31 event space in the Tortona district.
The bikes will initially be available in the United Kingdom, European Union, and Switzerland, all backed by a two-year warranty. As Constantin Buschmann, CEO of BRABUS, puts it, this collaboration is all about that “One-Second-Wow” factor—and looking at these specs, they’ve certainly nailed it.
