Built entirely around the spirit of adventure, freedom, exploration, and ultimate riding fun, the unique programme gives riders a golden opportunity to discover the true off-road capabilities of the Kawasaki KLX230. It is designed to bring together dual-sport enthusiasts from different regions of the country, allowing them to forge new friendships, share experiences, and push past their comfort zones while building a vibrant adventure riding community. The ultimate goal? To take on the legendary Rally of Himalaya and navigate some of India’s most challenging mountain trails and breath taking landscapes.

Registration, Eligibility, and Requirements
The programme is strictly open to MY26 Kawasaki KLX230 owners in India, welcoming all experience levels from absolute off-road beginners to seasoned enthusiasts. However, spaces are strictly limited to just 100 riders, and the selection process operates on a strict first-come, first-served basis.
To successfully apply, riders must possess:
- A valid Driving Licence.
- A valid Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC).
- Complete riding gear that meets the official code of conduct and terms and conditions.
Upon registering, participants will be provided with several official documents that they must thoroughly follow and adhere to, including a Rider Code of Conduct, Terms & Conditions, Program Guidelines & Rules, and a Medical Disclaimer & Liability Waiver.
Phase 1: The Rider Development Programme

- Cost: Completely free of cost
Phase 1 consists of three mandatory rider development sessions engineered to progressively elevate off-road riding capabilities and rider confidence. Because training builds sequentially, attendance at all three sessions is mandatory. Missing even a single session means immediate disqualification from further participation.
Session 1 – Off-Road Fundamentals
The initial step focuses heavily on core skills, covering:
- Body positioning
- Balance and control
- Braking techniques
- Safety awareness
Session 2 – Advanced Terrain Riding
Riders will move on to more complex situations, learning:
- Cornering techniques
- Hill climbs and descents
- Obstacle management
- Terrain reading
Session 3 – Endurance & Evaluation
The final step of Phase 1 tests the riders’ stamina and skills through:
- Endurance riding
- Technical riding sections
- Performance assessment

Phase 2: Advanced Rally Preparation Camp

- Participation Fee: ₹7,000 per rider
Riders who successfully show their skills and progress past Phase 1 will earn a spot at the Advanced Rally Preparation Camp. To ensure full rider commitment whilst keeping the experience accessible, a participation fee of ₹7,000 applies to this stage.
The intensive 3-day camp offers highly focused rally training and performance assessments, covering:
- Rally riding fundamentals
- Navigation awareness
- Endurance preparation
- Motorcycle management
- Competitive riding techniques
Final Rider Selection
Following the completion of the advanced preparation camp, a final evaluation will take place. The absolute top-performing participants will be officially selected as Road to Himalaya Finalists to compete in the actual Rally of Himalaya event. Furthermore, these selected finalists will get to represent the Kawasaki KLX230 in future rally activities, upcoming customer engagement initiatives, and promotional programmes.
Safety First: Non-Negotiable Riding Gear
Kawasaki India maintains a strict zero-compromise policy when it comes to safety. Any participant who fails to comply with the mandatory safety requirements will be denied participation or immediately disqualified from the programme.
The mandatory personal protective equipment checklist includes:
- A full-face helmet (must be explicitly ECE or SNELL approved)
- A dedicated riding jacket
- Dedicated riding pants
- Riding gloves
- Motocross boots (with a minimum height of 15 inches)
- Riding goggles
