Suzuki Motorcycle India has just wrapped up the Mumbai leg of its flagship festival, Suzuki Matsuri, and it’s safe to say they’ve made a bit of a splash. Held in Mulund on 17 April 2026, the event saw nearly 4,000 riders and enthusiasts descend upon the venue, resulting in four brand-new records officially recognised by the India Book of Records (IBR) and the Asia Book of Records (ABR).

It wasn’t just a gathering; it was a massive statement of intent for the brand, proving that the Suzuki riding community in India is more vibrant and connected than ever.

The Burgman Breaks the Records

The star of the show was undoubtedly the Suzuki Burgman. The brand managed to bag two major records during the festival:

  • Largest Gathering of a Single Scooter Model: A whopping 390 Suzuki Burgman owners lined up their scooters in one place, setting a new benchmark for community size.
  • Maximum Deliveries in a Day: In a frantic but impressive display of sales power, 175 new Suzuki Burgman scooters were handed over to their lucky new owners right there at the event.

According to Deepak Mutreja, the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at SMIPL, these records are a proud moment for the team and a direct reflection of the trust Indian riders have in the Suzuki brand.

New Launches and International Flavours

The festival wasn’t just about looking back at existing successes. Suzuki used the massive crowd to facilitate a customer-led launch of the New Suzuki Burgman Street. Giving the fans the power to unveil the new model certainly went down well with the attendees.

For those dreaming of bigger engines, Suzuki also showcased the globally famous Suzuki Burgman 400. It gave the Mumbai crowd a rare up-close look at the brand’s international maxi-scooter engineering and its long-standing legacy.

Also at the Show

Suzuki turned the Mulund venue into a full-blown carnival. Aside from the records, the Suzuki Matsuri highlights included:

  • Riding Zones: Fans got to test their mettle on the New Burgman Street, the Access ABS, the all-electric e-Access, and the adventure-ready V-Strom SX.
  • Entertainment: The day was packed with professional stunt shows, a massive Suzuki Parade, and live performances by Khaanzadi and DJ Lady Barot.
  • Festival Vibes: For those who wanted a break from the engines, there were tattoo booths, graffiti walls, merchandise stalls, and even cosplay artists wandering about.
