The team at Cardo Systems has officially relaunched their riding app, now rebranded as Cardo Ride, and it’s much more than just a name change. This is all about beefing up the Cardo ecosystem, giving bikers a single platform to plan, track, and share their journeys. Rather than starting from scratch, Cardo Ride is the evolution of the RISER app, which Cardo picked up back in 2023. By blending nearly a decade of RISER’s real-world data with their own expertise in motorcycle communication technology, they’ve created a digital hub built specifically for the modern rider.
Retaining the Core Features Riders Love
If you’re worried about losing the bits that worked, don’t be. The app still hangs onto the core features that have already tracked over 200 million kilometres (130 million miles) and supported thousands of riding groups.
The Cardo Ride app continues to be the go-to for:
- Journey Tracking: Recording every twist and turn of your trip.
- Route Discovery: Finding those hidden gems and “Supercurvy” roads.
- Community Engagement: Staying in the loop with the global riding community.
While the familiar Cardo Connect app will stay on your phone to handle device setup, pairing, and system settings, Cardo Ride is where the social action happens.
What’s New in the Upgrade?
Cardo has given the interface a fresh “Cardo look and feel,” but they’ve also tucked some clever new tools under the bonnet:
- Upgraded Newsfeed: A more dynamic, personalised stream for stories, updates, and community highlights.
- New reWind Experience: This is a social-ready recap that lets you share your ride highlights on a 3D map—perfect for a quick Instagram or WhatsApp brag.
- Dedicated Cardo Groups: A new space for riders to connect, swap routes, and learn how to get the most out of their comms gear.
- Unified Link: A seamless bridge back to the Cardo Connect app, so you can jump between ride stats and device controls without a fuss.
Getting the Most Out of the Ecosystem
Cardo CEO Alon Lumbroso says this move is all about linking every story and every new route to the wider community. While plenty of features are available in the free version, those who want the “full beans” experience can sign up for a free trial of Cardo Ride Pro, which unlocks deeper analytics and smarter tools.
If you were already using RISER Powered by Cardo, the transition is totally seamless. Your profile, ride history, and all those hard-earned community connections are fully preserved and waiting for you in the new app.
With more Cardo communication device integrations and smarter tools promised over the coming months, it looks like the Cardo Ride app is becoming an essential bit of kit for any serious rider’s smartphone.
