To mark World Motorcycle Day, TVS Motor Company (TVSM) brought together a massive crowd of over 1,000 riders across 17 cities in India. The whole idea behind this unique nationwide initiative was to celebrate the pure joy of biking whilst firmly championing a culture of safe and responsible riding.
Gathering the Communities: TVS Apache and TVS Ronin Take the Lead
The event saw incredible turnouts from two highly passionate groups: the TVS Apache Owners Group (AOG) and the TVS Ronin riding communities. Bound by a shared love for the open road, these bikers united to prove that a deep passion for motorcycling goes hand-in-hand with a collective commitment to safer roads.
Through this massive celebration, TVS Motor Company successfully reaffirmed its dedication to nurturing a responsible, safe, and passionate riding ecosystem across the entire country.
Shifting Gears Towards Road Safety
The entire nationwide movement was strictly centred around promoting safe and responsible riding practices. The awareness-led rides put a heavy emphasis on several vital guidelines for the modern rider:
- Safety First: Prioritising the absolute necessity of protective riding gear and proper safety equipment.
- Rules of the Road: Strict compliance with traffic rules and excellent road etiquette.
- Smart Riding: Demonstrating highly responsible riding behaviour across both busy urban streets and open highway routes.
- Community Respect: Showing complete respect for local communities and public spaces along the way.
Ultimately, the initiative perfectly highlighted the firm belief that the true thrill of motorcycling isn’t just about speed—it is about making sure every single journey ends safely.
Celebrating Two Decades of Racing Heritage
This year’s World Motorcycle Day was doubly special for the company. It gave them a fantastic opportunity to celebrate two decades (20 years) of racing heritage for the iconic TVS Apache brand. Born straight from racing DNA, the Apache lineup has built an absolute powerhouse of a community, currently boasting a global footprint of 6.5+ million customers. What’s more, the registered member base for the TVS Apache riding community has officially skyrocketed past 500,000+ registered members.
Vimal Sumbly, the Head of Premium Business at TVS Motor Company, shared some inspiring thoughts on the movement. He mentioned that motorcycling has completely evolved into a distinct way of life that is shaped by freedom, discipline, responsibility, and camaraderie.
According to Sumbly, seeing riders right across India come together proved that true motorcycling starts with an absolute respect for the road, fellow riders, and local communities. He noted that over the years, both TVS Apache and TVS Ronin have transformed from mere machines into thriving communities that connect people through performance, experiences, and a shared love for biking. He re-emphasised that the brand remains fully committed to building a stronger riding culture and creating experiences that make every ride safe, responsible, and memorable for their customers, which now include over 6 million global users for the Apache brand alone.
Spotlighting the Bengaluru Flagship Ride
Whilst celebrations kicked off all over the country, Bengaluru had the honour of hosting the official flagship ride of the day. The city’s event brought together over 100 customers, providing a brilliant interactive platform for local enthusiasts.
The Bengaluru event featured:
- Curated, high-quality riding experiences.
- Direct interactions with the TVS Apache Owners Group (AOG) and the TVS Ronin CULT communities.
- Engaging, deep-dive conversations with industry-leading motorcyclists.
A Thriving, Responsible Riding Ecosystem
At the end of the day, the nationwide event served as an incredibly powerful reminder to the public. It beautifully demonstrated that high-performance adventure and deep exploration can seamlessly coexist with top-tier safety and discipline. By showcasing perfect respect for traffic norms, the riders proved exactly how to properly enjoy the incredibly diverse landscapes, cultures, and experiences that India has to offer.
