KTM has just pulled the covers off what might be the most “hardcore” travel enduro to ever hit the dirt. The 2026 KTM 890 Adventure R Rally is a direct descendant of the bikes conquering the Dakar, and it’s built for riders who think “standard” simply isn’t enough.
If you want one, you’ll need to be quick. KTM is only producing 700 units of this masterpiece globally. It’s set to hit showrooms in April 2026, carrying a premium price tag of €22,780 (approx. Rs 25L).
Suspension Straight from the Factory Team
While the standard “R” model is already a beast off-road, the 890 Adventure R Rally takes things to a professional level. KTM has raided the top shelf of the WP XPLOR PRO COMPONENTS catalogue to give this bike 270 mm of wheel travel—the same setup used by official factory riders.
- Front End: It features the WP XPLOR PRO 7548 fork with elite Cone Valve technology.
- Rear End: It’s paired with a fully adjustable WP XPLOR PRO 6746 shock.
This premium package is designed to offer maximum damping in the most brutal conditions, giving the rider the confidence to push harder and jump further over obstacles.
The LC8c Heart with an Akrapovič Growl
Underneath the new two-tone Rally livery, the bike is powered by the versatile 889 cc parallel-twin engine. It’s a punchy unit delivering 106 hp at 8,000 rpm and a stout 100 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.
To make sure everyone hears you coming, KTM has fitted a titanium Akrapovič “Slip-on Line” exhaust as standard. It’s aesthetically identical to the ones used by the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team in the desert.
