
We were just getting used to the new Triumph 800 XRx and the XCx and now Triumph UK has announced newer versions of both. The new Triumph Tiger 800 models add more features to the existing XRx and XCx models. The ‘x’ version already had added several new features like 3 selectable Riding Modes, ABS with On /Off-Road / Off, Traction control with On / Off-Road / Off, 4 Throttle Maps, Cruise control, Centre stand, ‘Comfort’ rider and pillion seats Hand guards, Adjustable screen, Advanced trip computer and an Additional 12V aux socket for the XRx models. The XCx models got Switchable riding modes: Road, Off-road and Rider ABS with On /Off-Road / Off, Traction control with On / Off-Road / Off, 4 Throttle Maps, Cruise control Advanced Trip Computer, Aluminium sump guard, Engine protection bars, Hand guards, Centre Stand and an additional auxiliary 12v power socket. The Triumph Tiger 800 XRT and XCA goes that extra bit and adds some features that seems to have come out of the accessories catalogue.
The new Triumph Tiger 800 XRT gets:

- Aluminium pannier rails – ready for the fitment of the optional aluminium Expedition panniers

The new Triumph tiger XCA gets:
- Heated Rider and Passenger Seats

- Aluminium pannier rails – ready for the fitment of the optional aluminium Expedition panniers

- GPS mounting kit
- CNC machined foot rests
Engine wise and core electronics wise everything remains the same. The 12 valve triple cylinder still produces the same and sane 95 Ps at 9250 RPM and 79 Nm of torque at 7850 RPM. Kerb weight of the XCA model lies at 221 kgs same as that of the XCx model. The XRT weighs 216 kg, same as the XRx model. The Triumph Tiger 800 XRT has an on road price of £10,499, 1000 pounds more than the XRx version.
