What’s New & different from previous model?

Bajaj has given the Dominar 400 a solid technology upgrade this year. The biggest game changer is the new all-digital LCD screen that comes packed with Bluetooth connectivity. You can get turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts, and a much clearer display compared to the old one. Another cool addition is ride-by-wire throttle, which lets Bajaj fit multiple riding modes — Rain, Road, Sport, and Off-road. How Does It Feel on the Road?

The engine remains a lively 373cc single-cylinder delivering about 40 horsepower. It loves to rev and will keep you entertained especially when you push it around the 3,000 to 7,000 rpm range. City riding is fine but slower speeds need a bit of gear management; it can feel sluggish if you baby it and it loves to be revved. Once you get it going, it accelerates smoothly and feels eager on the highway.

Comfort-wise, the bike is still good for long rides. The seating position is relaxed with better handlebar placement, and the mild windscreen helps cut down the buffeting. With useful touring extras like the luggage rack and USB charging, it’s ready for weekend trips or even longer journeys.

Handling is stable and confidence-inspiring, it is a bit lazy during corner to corner shifts but expected from a cruiser. Thanks to the added traction control and good brakes things feel safer in tricky terrain as well. The bike isn’t the most aggressive corner-carver, but it’s balanced and forgiving, which is exactly what many riders want.

Fuel efficiency is decent, around 28 km per liter if ridden sanely — which isn’t bad given its sporty nature.
