The wait is over for racing fans as Royal Enfield kicks off the 6th edition of its famous Continental GT Cup. After five years of high-speed action, the 2026 season is turning up the heat with more categories, a massive prize pool, and a brand-new race bike for the pros.
A New Beast on the Track: The GT-R750
The biggest news for the 2026 season is the debut of the all-new GT-R750 race prototype. Developed specifically for the Professional category, this bike is built on a fresh platform designed for better agility and sharper performance on the circuit. It features a new aerodynamic fairing, race-tuned suspension, and lightweight twin stainless steel exhausts to help riders squeeze out every bit of speed. Meanwhile, the Amateur riders will stick to the tried-and-tested GT-R650 platform that has defined the cup since it started.
Higher Stakes and Bigger Rewards
Royal Enfield is making this one of the most rewarding manufacturer-backed championships in India. Here is what is on the line:
- Massive Prize Pool: There is a ₹20 lakh (roughly £20,000) prize pool up for grabs.
- Separate Grids: For the first time since 2022, Professional and Amateur riders will race on separate grids, ensuring the competition is as sharp as possible for everyone involved.
- Full Support: Riders will also receive hospitality support across all rounds of the championship.

How to Get Involved: From Street to Track
True to its “Street to Track” philosophy, the Continental GT Cup remains one of the easiest ways to get into circuit racing. If you have a valid driving licence, you can sign up to showcase your skills.
The selection process is thorough, with zonal selections and Track School sessions planned for Guwahati, Delhi NCR, Pune, and Bangalore throughout May and June 2026. The fastest riders will then head to the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore for the final selections from 18–21 June 2026.
