The all-new Monster Dark, bringing back the pure, stripped-down essence of its iconic naked motorcycle has been announced. Built around the classic formula of “Everything you need, nothing more,” the Monster Dark honours the original design ethos that created a massive global community of passionate Monsteristi.

Timeless Dark Livery & Design Cues

The Monster Dark brings back the classic aesthetic cues that defined the original 1993 first-generation icon, paired with modern exposed components:

  • Signature Styling: Features the classic bison-back fuel tank flanked by broad “shoulders,” a round headlight, a single seat for rider and passenger, and a short, lightweight tail section.
  • All-Black Aesthetic: Gets total-black wheels, a single-material seat, and exposed dark-finished structural parts including the Front Frame monocoque, exhaust end caps, and intake snorkel.
  • Customization Options: Riders can customize their Monster Dark through the official Ducati.com Configurator, opting for accessories like Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), Electronic Cruise Control, a flyscreen, or a passenger seat cover.

My Thoughts

“The ‘Monster Dark’ badge is music to the ears of naked bike purists. The Monster has always held a special place, but stripping away the extra fluff to focus on that all-black stealth look makes it even more attractive. With a total weight of just 175 kg, an accessible seat height, and over 80% of its 91.1 Nm torque available right from 4,000 rpm, the Monster Dark is practically tailormade for making riding fun and easy while offering serious firepower for weekend highway blasts.”
