
JSW MG Motor India has just unveiled the MG Hector Tomahawk, marking the debut of the country’s first Multi-New Energy Vehicle (NEV) platform, dubbed ADAPT (Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology). Offered in both all-electric (EV) and Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) powertrains, the SUV introduces Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option alongside traditional ex-showroom buying routes.

Proportions and Exterior Design
Built on the ADAPT platform, the Hector Tomahawk stands as the tallest and among the longest SUVs in its vehicle class. Dimensions measure 4,745 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width (2,130 mm including mirrors), and 1,770 mm in height, anchored by a class-leading 2,810 mm wheelbase and 230 mm of ground clearance at the battery.
Exterior highlights feature sculpted dynamic bumpers, signature Beacon Lights, an illuminated MG logo, Rotor Alloy wheels, and an Automatic Power Tailgate for easy cargo access.
Cabin Comfort, Tech, and Utility
The interior introduces the Desert Squadron theme with Almond Brown and Carbon Black upholstery, leatherette-finished armrests and dashboard, plus a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

In-car entertainment features the Starmaanch Karaoke app with 8,000+ tracks across multiple genres, alongside a Jio-powered App Store offering 18+ services (including Jio VR, JioSaavn, and ETV Bharat digital news).
Safety Testing and Level 2 ADAS
The 69.2 kWh MAGIC Battery undergoes real-time 24/7 monitoring and includes a lifetime battery warranty for the first owner across both EV and PHEV models. Validation testing included full needle penetration without fire, 180-degree thermal shock, 55-degree short circuits, up to 40% cell deformation without ignition, over 2,000 bench tests, and 490+ full-vehicle tests.
Standard safety hardware packs 6 airbags, ESP, TCS, Hill Hold Control, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, EPB with Auto Hold, TPMS, ISOFIX anchors, all-wheel disc brakes, and a 360° Around View HD Camera System with Wheel View. Level 2 ADAS covers Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Prevention, Front Collision Warning, AEB, AEB for Pedestrians, and Intelligent Headlamp Control.

Parth Jindal, Director at JSW MG Motor India, noted that the SUV marks a major milestone towards building a sustainable mobility ecosystem. Anurag Mehrotra, Managing Director, added that democratising clean mobility across EV and PHEV options addresses diverse driving patterns across the country.
Every purchase includes the MG SHIELD ownership scheme. The EV comes with a 3-3-2 package (3-year unlimited-kilometre warranty, 3 years of Roadside Assistance, and 2 labour-free services), while the PHEV receives a 3-3-3 package (3-year warranty, 3 years RSA, and 3 free services). Extended warranty plans, Protect maintenance programs, and an Assured Buy Back Program are also available.
The EV variant offers six single-tone shades (Pearl White, Starry Black, Aurora Silver, Celadon Blue, Shadow Gold, Khaki Green) and two dual-tones (Shadow Gold + Black, Khaki Green + Black). The PHEV comes in Pearl White, Starry Black, Aurora Silver, Celadon Blue, Turquoise Green, Shadow Gold, plus Turquoise Green + White and Celadon Blue + White dual-tones.
Bookings are currently open nationwide. Deliveries for the Hector Tomahawk EV begin in September 2026, while test drives and deliveries for the PHEV variant commence in November 2026.
