Powertrains, Battery Tech, and Real-World Range

Both models prioritize long-distance utility and urban efficiency, featuring distinct electrified setups.

1. Hector Tomahawk EV

  • Battery & Motor: Powered by a 69.2 kWh high-voltage “MAGIC Battery” mated to a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor producing 150 kW (201 hp) and 310 Nm of torque.
  • Driving Range: Delivers a certified single-charge range of 517 km.
  • Charging: Supports DC fast charging up to 90 kW.
  • Battery Engineering & Safety: Built with high-thermal-stability cell materials, ceramic insulation layers, and a high-temperature-resistant electrolyte. The pack has cleared rigorous validation testing, including zero fire during needle penetration tests, 180-degree thermal shocks, 55-degree short-circuit runs, and up to 40% cell deformation without explosion. A 24/7/365 active Battery Management System (BMS) continuously monitors safety parameters.

2. Hector Tomahawk PHEV

  • Engine & Transmission: Combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 148 kW electric motor and a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT). It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 9 seconds.
  • Battery & EV Range: Houses a 20.5 kWh battery pack offering over 115 km of pure-electric driving range.
  • Combined Range: Achieves an overall driving range exceeding 1,100 km on a full fuel tank and full charge.
  • Intelligent Drive Modes: The system uses an electromagnetic clutch with a 0.1-second response time and an MCU operating at up to 99.1% efficiency to switch across four drive modes:
    • Pure Electric Drive: Silent, emission-free city driving.
    • Series Hybrid Drive: Engine operates purely as an onboard generator to recharge the pack while the motor drives the wheels.
    • Parallel Hybrid Drive: Petrol engine and electric motor work simultaneously under heavy acceleration.
    • Engine Direct Drive: Petrol engine directly powers the wheels for efficient high-speed highway cruising.

Segment-First V2H Power

Both variants feature Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) capability, allowing the SUV to function as a mobile backup power station to run household electrical appliances or outdoor gear during outages and camping trips.

Dimensions and Exterior Styling

Standing on a 2,810 mm wheelbase, the Hector Tomahawk is the tallest and among the longest SUVs in its category, providing 230 mm of ground clearance at the battery casing.
