Aerodynamic Design and Weather Protection
The styling of the SV-7GX effortlessly blends aggressive lines with high-end refinement. Suzuki spent a lot of time testing this machine in the wind tunnel to ensure riders get the best possible aerodynamic protection without sacrificing the bike’s sharp looks.
Up front, the compact nose features full LED lighting, including a main projector and lights optimised to give you a clearer view through the bends during night-time rides. For those long-distance motorway jaunts, it comes equipped with handguards as standard and a windscreen that can be adjusted across three positions with 50 mm of travel.
Ergonomics and Riding Position
The team at Suzuki has dialed in a riding position that gives you a sporty lean without losing that relaxed, upright crossover posture. The cockpit layout features:
- A wide, variable-section aluminium handlebar for intuitive control.
- A sculpted 17.4-litre fuel tank.
- An accessible seat height of just 795 mm, making low-speed manoeuvres a breeze.
- A raised pillion seat designed to keep passengers comfortable over long distances, complete with handy grab rails integrated right into the luggage rack.
The Proven V-Twin Engine
At the heart of the SV-7GX is the thoroughly proven 645 cc, 90° liquid-cooled V-twin engine. It is highly regarded for its bulletproof reliability, elasticity, and sheer fun factor.
In this latest guise, the motor puts out 72 HP of power and 64 Nm of torque, delivering a crisp response lower down the rev range and a steady, constant pull all the way to the top. It is fully Euro 5+ compliant and impressively frugal, sipping fuel at a rate of 4.2 l/100 km. When paired with that 17.4-litre tank, riders can easily look forward to an overall range of over 400 km between fill-ups.
Integrated Electronics: The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System
Managing all that V-twin power is a comprehensive electronics package known as the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.). This fully integrated setup controls a whole host of rider aids:
- Suzuki Drive Mode Selector: Offers three distinct engine maps to alter power delivery.
- Suzuki Traction Control System: Features three adjustable levels and can be turned off entirely.
- Ride-by-Wire: An electronic throttle system for ultra-smooth power delivery.
- Easy Start & Low RPM Assist: Includes the Suzuki Easy Start System and the clever “Partifacile” (Low RPM Assist) to prevent stalling when pulling away.
- A bi-directional quick shifter for seamless up and down gear changes without the clutch, working alongside a reassuring ABS setup.

A Beautifully Balanced Chassis
The structural setup of the SV-7GX is engineered for pure precision and ease of use, whatever the road throws at it. A classic steel trellis frame handles the heavy lifting, working in tandem with a tubular swingarm. At the rear, you will find a progressive linkage suspension setup with a mono-shock that can be adjusted for preload across seven different levels, while the front end is looked after by 41 mm telescopic forks.
The bike rolls on sporty 17-inch wheels shod with high-quality Pirelli Angel GT II tyres (measuring 120/70 at the front and 160/60 at the back). Stopping power is equally premium, courtesy of a dual 290 mm front disc brake setup clamped by four-piston calipers, backed up by a 240 mm rear disc. All in, the motorcycle tips the scales with a kerb weight of 211 kg in full running order.
Next-Gen Infotainment and Connectivity
The cockpit is dominated by a brilliant 4.2-inch colour TFT display. Thanks to an automatic brightness sensor, it stays crystal clear whether you are riding in blinding sunshine or dead of night.
By pairing a smartphone with the Suzuki Ride Connect+ app (available for both iOS and Android), the dash transforms into a full infotainment hub. It brings turn-by-turn navigation right into your line of sight and displays notifications for incoming calls, text messages, social media apps, calendar reminders, weather updates, and even speed or traffic alerts.
Even when away from the bike, riders can use the smartphone app to check the total odometer, trip meters, current fuel level, historical fuel consumption, the last parked location, and detailed trip routes. There is also a very handy USB-C port tucked right next to the clocks to keep devices fully charged.
