Skoda has officially showcased the fourth-generation Superb in India ahead of its anticipated market launch in the first half of 2027. Arriving as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) in the flagship Laurin & Klement (L&K) trim, the executive sedan marks a major milestone: the return of a diesel engine to the wider Volkswagen Group portfolio in India after a six-year hiatus following the implementation of BS6 emission norms in 2020.
Dealerships have opened registration of interest for prospective buyers, with customer deliveries scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2027.

Under the bonnet, the India-spec fourth-gen Superb receives a front-wheel-drive (FWD) turbo-diesel setup:
- Engine: 2.0-litre TDI four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine

Because the fourth-generation Superb is entering India via the CBU route in its top-tier L&K specification, pricing is expected to sit in the ₹55 lakh to ₹60 lakh (ex-showroom) bracket. However, prospective pricing dynamics could become more favourable if lower import duty structures under the upcoming India-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) take effect in 2027. Upon launch, it will serve as a direct luxury alternative to the Toyota Camry in the executive sedan category.
