Bajaj Auto has just given its electric scooter lineup a massive tech injection. The legendary Chetak—famed for being “Fully Lifeproof”—is getting a serious upgrade in the brains department. The brand is moving to a new ‘C Series’ nomenclature, dividing the portfolio into the C 35, C 30, and C 25 series.

The big news for the flagship C 35 01 is the integration of Google Maps navigation directly into the Chetak App. This was a direct response to fans wanting a more familiar way to get around town, and it’s now baked right into the riding experience.

Faster Top Speeds and More Power

If you felt the previous models were a bit too sedate, you’ll be pleased to hear that top speeds have been bumped up across the board to improve real-world performance. Here is how the new numbers stack up:

  • C 35 01 and C 35 02: Now hit a top speed of 80 km/h (up from 73 km/h).
  • C 35 03 and C 30 01: Now reach 70 km/h (up from 63 km/h).
  • C 25 01: Now delivers a top speed of 60 km/h (up from 55 km/h).

The flagship model also gets a boost in motor output, jumping from 4.5 kW to 4.8 kW, which should make it feel a lot more responsive and refined when you twist the throttle.

Standard Features and Faster Charging

In a move that’s bound to please the wallet, Bajaj has decided to make several premium features standard. Ride Modes (Sports and Eco) and Hill Hold Assist, which used to be paid add-ons, are now included as standard on all C 35 and C 30 series scooters.

Charging has also seen a significant improvement for the C 30 01. You can now juice it up from 0-80% in 2 hours and 55 minutes, a decent saving compared to the previous 3 hours and 50 minutes.

Always Up-to-Date

Ownership is getting a bit easier, too. Updates for the C 35 01 and C 35 02 will now be delivered Over the Air (OTA). This means performance optimisations, software tweaks, and brand-new features can be beamed straight to the scooter without you having to trek down to a service centre.

Eric Vas, President of Urbanite Business at Bajaj Auto, noted that this evolution is all about bringing “meaningful upgrades” to the range. By combining stronger performance with more intuitive connectivity, the new C Series is looking to offer much better value for everyday urban riders. If you’re in the market for a tough, tech-heavy electric scooter, the 2026 Chetak range has certainly raised the bar.
