After a fair bit of anticipation since we saw it couple of years back, the BSA Scrambler 650 has officially landed in the Indian market. BSA Motorcycles has priced this rugged new machine at ₹3.24 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a very tempting proposition for anyone looking for a mix of retro charm and off-road capability. While it shares its DNA with the Gold Star, the Scrambler 650 is a much more aggressive beast, designed for those who don’t want to stop just because the pavement does. The brand has rolled out some tempting introductory prices that vary depending on which paint job catches your eye. You can pick up the Raven Black for Rs 3,24,950, while the Victor Yellow sits in the middle at Rs 3,32,950. If you want the top-spec look, the Thunder Grey will set you back Rs 3,40,950 (all prices ex-showroom).
A Torque-Heavy “Big Single” Heart
Under the retro bodywork sits a proper powerhouse: a 652cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This DOHC, four-valve motor features twin spark plugs and is built to be a torque monster. It pumps out 45 HP at 6500 rpm and a beefy 55 Nm of torque at just 4,000 rpm.
Unlike peaky engines that need to be screamed, this 650cc scrambler is all about that low-to-mid-range grunt. BSA reckons this character makes it the perfect tool for darting through urban traffic, tackling broken backroads, and handling short trail sections with ease.

Classic Scrambler Styling
The bike looks every bit the vintage adventurer, featuring a distinctive rally beak, an upswept exhaust for extra clearance, and a handlebar cross tube for that authentic dirt-bike feel. Modern touches include a full LED headlamp and a digital instrument cluster that blends in nicely with the old-school aesthetic.
If you want to kit it out, the BSA Scrambler 650 accessories list is extensive, featuring:
