
TVS Motor Company (TVSM) has just registered its highest ever sales milestone, recording a massive 566,585 units in May 2026. When compared to the 431,275 units they shifted back in May 2025, that represents an incredible 31% overall sales growth for the month.
It seems everything the manufacturer touched turned to gold this May, with the company also posting its highest ever international business sales at 1.76 Lakh units alongside its highest ever EV sales at 0.44 Lakh units.
Two-Wheeler Sales Skyrocket Across Motorcycles and Scooters
Taking a closer look at the two-wheeler division, total volumes registered a brilliant 31% growth. Overall two-wheeler sales increased significantly from 416,166 units in May 2025 up to 543,111 units in May 2026.
Here is exactly how that breaks down across the different sub-segments:
- Domestic Two-Wheelers: Home market demand stayed incredibly strong, registering a 24% growth as sales climbed from 309,287 units in May last year to 384,565 units this May.
- Motorcycles: The motorbike segment clocked a sweet 30% growth, with sales increasing from 211,505 units in May 2025 to 273,802 units in May 2026.
- Scooters: Scooters performed even better, enjoying a 32% growth rate as sales rose from 166,749 units last year to 220,740 units this month.
Electric Vehicles and Three-Wheelers See Huge Percentage Jumps
It wasn’t just traditional petrol bikes doing the heavy lifting, either. TVS Motor Company’s electric vehicle segment experienced a massive 56% growth spurt. EV sales surged from 27,976 units in May 2025 to a record-breaking 43,632 units in May 2026, which rounds out to that impressive 0.44 Lakh units milestone.
Meanwhile, the three-wheeler side of the business had a similarly spectacular month, posting a 55% growth. Sales in this category jumped up from 15,109 units in May 2025 to 23,474 units in May 2026.
International Business Destroys Previous Records
To wrap up a truly phenomenal monthly report, the brand’s international operations completely knocked it out of the park. Total International Business sales registered a staggering 49% growth, climbing from 118,437 units in May 2025 to their highest ever figure of 175,991 units in May 2026 (meeting that 1.76 Lakh units milestone).
A major driver behind this global success was the export of their bikes and scooters, with international two-wheeler sales alone registering a 48% growth as shipments increased from 106,879 units last year to 158,546 units in May 2026.
