TVS Motor Company has taken a major step in its global motorcycle strategy by bringing the 2026 TVS Racing International Championship (TRIC) to Europe for the very first time. Held from 2 to 4 October 2026 at the iconic Misano World Circuit in Misano Adriatico, Italy, the event showcased the Indian manufacturer’s racing heritage, engineering capabilities, and performance-focused philosophy within one of the world’s most established motorsport ecosystems.

A International Line-up on the Misano Grid

The Italian round brought together 14 of the fastest racers representing 12 nationalities across 4 continents. All competitors took to the track on identical race-spec TVS Apache RR 310 machines.

The European debut marks a key milestone for TVS Motor, which currently operates in more than 90 international markets. TRIC originally launched in 2022 as an Asia-focused series featuring riders from 9 countries. Since then, it has expanded across 4 countries and 5 rounds—including stops in Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, and Indonesia—before crossing into Europe. To date, the overall series has welcomed riders from 16 different nations.

The 14 riders competing in the 2026 Italy round included:

  1. Mohd Ramdan Bin Mohd Rosli (Malaysia)
  2. Sarthak Chavan (India)
  3. Luis Miguel Lopez Rodriguez (Spain)
  4. Chiranth Vishwanath (India)
  5. Rakhsith Srihari Dave (India)
  6. Jhon Alexander Lopez Castandeda (Colombia)
  7. Oratilwe Phiri (South Africa)
  8. Pedro Moreira Rodrigues Varela De Matos (Portugal)
  9. Vorapong Malahuan (Thailand)
  10. Andoni Dominguez Martinez (Nicaragua)
  11. Luca Agostinelli (Vietnam)
  12. Diego Samuel Medina Offenbach (Mexico)
  13. Cristian Borrelli (Italy)
  14. Minjae Kim (Korea)

Industry Leaders Back the Milestone

Mr Vimal Sumbly, Head – Premium Business at TVS Motor Company, noted that taking an Indian-origin championship to Europe reflects the strength of the brand’s racing pedigree and engineering ambitions, describing it as “Track to Road” expertise in action.

Mr Ron Hogg, Promotions Director of Two Wheels Motor Racing (TWMR), highlighted that expanding TRIC into Europe provides a valuable competitive environment for riders to test themselves against different racing styles and techniques, building experience that will prove useful for future events like the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship.

Welcoming the series to Italy, Mr Simone Folgori, Sporting Director of the Federazione Motociclistica Italiana (FMI), expressed delight at hosting the championship’s European debut at Misano, noting that the international grid brings a fresh dynamic to the Italian racing calendar.

The Machine Behind the Series: Race-Spec TVS Apache RR 310

The track-tuned TVS Apache RR 310 used in the championship features an enhanced aerodynamic package, increased power output, and refined riding dynamics developed over 20 years of brand history.

The machine has already established impressive performance credentials on international circuits:

  • 2023 (Chang International Circuit, Thailand): Set a top speed record of 215.9 km/h and a lap record of 1:49:74.
  • 2024 (Chang International Circuit, Thailand): Raised its top speed to 216 km/h and set a new lap record of 1:48:44.
  • 2024 (Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia): Logged a lap time of 2:20:80.

Broader Global Momentum

The international expansion of TVS Racing runs alongside the growth of TVS Motor’s commercial road bike lineup. The TVS Apache production series has now surpassed 7 million customers worldwide. Additionally, the brand is backed by the TVS Apache Owners Group (AOG), a global community boasting more than 500,000 members. By bringing TRIC to Misano, TVS Motor continues to leverage its motorsport achievements to bolster its global brand presence.
