Electric biking in India is picking up serious speed, and the charging infrastructure is racing to keep up. Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth have just dropped some major news about their shared Type-6 DC fast-charging network, and it turns out they are well ahead of schedule.
Back in March 2026, the two companies teamed up with a plan to roll out 50 fast chargers. Fast forward to today, and they have completely smashed that target by more than double. There are now over 130 live Type-6 DC fast chargers up and running across seven Indian states.
This rapid expansion is happening right as Ultraviolette’s rider base expands and demand for electric motorcycles surges. Plus, with global crude oil supplies looking a bit uncertain, India is pushing hard for cleaner, electricity-led mobility infrastructure to save on foreign exchange and secure its energy future.
Where Is the Network Live?
If you are wondering where you can plug in, the network has already set up camp across several key regions. The operational Type-6 charging points are spread throughout:
- Andhra Pradesh
- Karnataka
- Kerala
- Maharashtra
- Tamil Nadu
- Telangana
- West Bengal
The network handles everything from brand-new Type-6 DC fast charger installations to upgrading existing Bolt.Earth infrastructure so it can support Ultraviolette bikes.
What Does This Mean for Riders?
For anyone riding an Ultraviolette F77 or X-47 motorcycle, these chargers are fully compatible, opening up seamless fast-charging access across cities, major highways, and up-and-coming EV corridors.
The whole ecosystem is neatly woven into both the Ultraviolette and Bolt.Earth digital platforms. This means riders get a smooth experience with features like:
- Real-time charger discovery
- Live charging session visibility
- Integrated digital payments
What is Next for the Fast-Charging Ecosystem?
The teams aren’t slowing down either. Over the next two months, they plan to switch on an additional 200 Type-6 DC fast chargers to support the growing electric two-wheeler market.
Looking further ahead, Bolt.Earth has a massive roadmap to deploy 10,000 Type-6 Blaze DC chargers over the next two years. By building a reliable, standardized, and interoperable public fast-charging network, the collaboration is making long-distance usability a reality and giving riders the freedom to travel with confidence.
