Ducati has launched the much-awaited Streetfighter V2 in India, bringing its famous “Fight Formula” from the Panigale V2 into a full-blown naked sportbike. This new machine mixes sharp design, advanced electronics, and accessible performance for riders who love both road and track action.

The Streetfighter V2 is all about modern naked-bike attitude: the fairing is stripped away to expose its muscular mechanicals and raw power, staying true to the original Streetfighter’s troublemaker spirit. It kicks off a fresh chapter in Ducati’s mid-capacity naked range, built around low weight, easy handling, a strong yet user-friendly engine, and sporty ergonomics that still work for everyday riding.

Bipul Chandra, Managing Director of Ducati India, calls it a true “naked-Panigale” that showcases Ducati’s Fight Formula. The bike blends the wild soul of a superbike with the comfort and versatility needed for daily use. With its aggressive styling, new V2 engine, and packed electronics suite, it’s designed to feel intuitive, lively, and seriously distinctive on the road.

Design-wise, the Streetfighter V2 carries the typical Streetfighter family look, with the mass visually pushed toward the front for a very dynamic stance. The sharp Full-LED headlamps with DRL give it a menacing face that you can spot instantly. The fully faired tail section flows cleanly from the front, creating a monolithic seat–tail unit inspired by the Desmosedici MotoGP bikes and emphasizing its sporty character. New six-spoke “Y”-profile light-alloy wheels finished in black round off the look, paired with a full Ducati Red livery.

Ergonomics have been carefully tuned for both support and comfort. You get a variable-section aluminium handlebar, adjustable brake and clutch levers, and well-shaped footpegs for excellent control in both sporty and urban riding. The seat height is 838 mm, making it manageable while the tank’s sculpted shape helps brace the rider under braking and through corners, cutting down fatigue.

At its heart is a new Euro5+ compliant 90° V2 engine with 890 cc capacity, weighing just 54.4 kg—Ducati’s lightest twin-cylinder ever. It produces 120 hp at 10,750 rpm and 93.3 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm, with more than 70% of that torque already available from just 3,000 rpm. That means strong, responsive pull every time you twist the throttle. For track junkies, a racing exhaust is available as an accessory, bumping power to 126 hp and shaving 4.5 kg off the weight. The six-speed gearbox uses Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0 for precise, direct-feeling shifts, while the oil-bath slipper clutch with progressive hydraulic control keeps lever effort light and smooth.

The chassis is built around a compact monocoque frame that uses the engine as a stressed member, helping the Streetfighter V2 hit an impressively low dry weight of 175 kg for the V2 S and 178 kg for the standard V2—making this the lightest Streetfighter yet. A double-sided swingarm inspired by the Panigale V4 boosts stability and grip. Suspension differs by variant: the Streetfighter V2 gets a fully adjustable Marzocchi fork up front and a fully adjustable Kayaba shock at the rear, while the Streetfighter V2 S ups the game with fully adjustable Öhlins NIX-30 forks and an Öhlins rear shock, plus a lithium-ion battery for further weight savings. Both versions use a Sachs steering damper for high-speed stability. New cast wheels are wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres in 120/70 front and 190/55 rear sizes, balancing agility and grip. Braking is handled by Brembo M50 monobloc calipers with 320 mm front discs, offering track-ready stopping power with good feel for the road.

Electronics are straight out of Ducati’s SuperSport playbook. A 6-axis IMU manages a full suite of rider aids, including:

  • Cornering ABS with “slide by brake” for controlled corner entry slides
  • Ducati Traction Control (DTC) with a predictive strategy for better grip management
  • Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) to maximise safe acceleration
  • Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0 for clutchless upshifts and downshifts
  • Engine Brake Control (EBC) to keep the bike settled under hard braking

Riders can choose from four Riding Modes—Race, Sport, Road, and Wet—each with preset but fully customisable settings for power delivery and electronic interventions. A new 5-inch TFT dash acts as the control hub, offering three display layouts (Road, Road Pro, Track) to suit different riding moods and environments.

Personalisation is a big part of the Streetfighter V2 story. Ducati offers a range of accessories including a racing exhaust for track days, Lap Timer Pro self-timing system, Cruise Control, turn-by-turn navigation, USB power socket, and TPMS tyre pressure monitoring to add more comfort and tech.

Both the Ducati Streetfighter V2 and Streetfighter V2 S arrive in India in Ducati Red, with sales starting 27 November 2025. Pricing is set at INR 17,50,200 (ex-showroom India) for the Streetfighter V2 and INR 19,48,900 (ex-showroom India) for the Streetfighter V2 S. Over the standard bike, the V2 S adds fully adjustable Öhlins suspension front and rear, a lithium-ion battery, Ducati Power Launch (DPL), a Pit Limiter, and a lower wet weight without fuel of 175 kg (versus 178 kg for the Streetfighter V2)—making it the more track-focused choice for riders who want the sharpest possible version of Ducati’s latest V2 fighter.
