Harley-Davidson has taken the X440 formula and sharpened it up with a new variant called the X440 T, co-developed with Hero MotoCorp and set to launch in India in December 2025. Visually, it stands apart from the standard X440 thanks to a heavily reworked rear three-quarter section that instantly gives it a more focused, better-proportioned stance.
Compared to the regular X440, the X440 T looks a lot more angular and athletic. It gets bar-end mirrors, a completely redesigned rear profile, and a tighter gap between the rear fender and wheel, which makes the tail look cleaner and more premium. Harley will offer the X440 T in four colour options. While the company hasn’t shown the front yet, it’s expected to look almost identical to the standard X440 from the front, aside from those bar-end mirrors. Likely feature additions include ride-by-wire throttle, riding modes, switchable traction control and switchable dual-channel ABS.

Interestingly, the X440 T skips cruise control. That’s a surprise, especially since Hero has been offering cruise control on several of its recent 125–160 cc models like the Glamour X 125, Xtreme 125R and Xtreme 160R. Leaving that out on a premium Harley-branded bike feels like a missed opportunity.
Underneath, the X440 T is expected to use the same 440 cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled petrol engine as the standard X440, with identical outputs of 27 bhp and 38 Nm. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Official specs aren’t out yet, but most of the core hardware is shared with the regular bike.

That means the X440 T should carry over the same frame, suspension setup, braking hardware and wheels from the standard X440. Rather than being an all-new motorcycle, it’s more accurate to think of it as a new, better-styled and more feature-rich variant of the Harley-Davidson X440, aimed at riders who wanted a cleaner tail and a bit more tech without changing the proven mechanical package.
