Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced a voluntary recall for certain 2025 units of its flagship CB1000 Hornet SP. This recall is part of a global initiative and specifically targets bikes with a possible safety issue linked to gear shifting.

Here’s what’s going on: Due to excessive heat radiating from the exhaust, the painted seat surface can soften, which could cause the gear change pedal pivot bolt to loosen or fall off during rides—a situation that might make it tough or even impossible to shift gears.

To fix this, Honda will be replacing the affected parts for free at all BigWing Topline dealerships across India starting January 2026. It doesn’t matter if your bike is still under warranty—the replacement is on the house. Honda will reach out to owners by phone, email, or SMS to schedule the inspection and repair. If you want to check yourself, enter your bike’s VIN on the Honda website (honda2wheelersindia.com).

For a smooth experience, Honda suggests booking your service appointment in advance so you don’t have to wait in line.

This proactive move underscores Honda’s commitment to customer safety and trust, ensuring Hornet SP riders get back on the road with total peace of mind.
