Triumph is set to launch the new Thruxton 400 in India on August 6, 2025, and bikes have already started reaching showrooms. The Thruxton 400 is the latest addition to Triumph’s 400cc lineup, and it’s essentially a cafe racer version based on the popular Speed 400 platform. This new model stands out with its retro-inspired design, featuring a stylish half-fairing, a round LED headlamp, a sporty rear-seat cowl, clip-on handlebars, and bar-end mirrors—all lending it that classic cafe racer vibe reminiscent of the larger Thruxton 1200. The sculpted fuel tank, raked windscreen, single-piece seat, and slightly rear-set footpegs offer a riding stance that’s sporty but still practical for everyday use.
Underneath, the Thruxton 400 is powered by a 398cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, delivering around 39.5bhp and 37.5Nm of torque—same as the Speed 400, but there’s a chance Triumph will tweak the gearing to match the Thruxton’s sportier character. It shares its main frame and mechanicals with its siblings, but gets a few visual and ergonomic upgrades for its cafe racer persona. Expect features like LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, a semi-digital instrument cluster, 17-inch alloy wheels, and a premium build quality that Triumph is known for.

In terms of pricing, the Thruxton 400 is anticipated to launch at around ₹2.70 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it between the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X. Deliveries are likely to begin soon after the official launch. This new model will offer enthusiasts a blend of British style, retro charisma, and modern-day reliability, aiming to pull in a wider crowd among India’s growing middleweight bike segment.
In terms of colour options we can confirm that there are at least 4, the Yellow/Silver you see here, a Silver/Black, a Black/Silver and a Red/Silver.
