Hero MotoCorp Flex Fuel Splendor+ and HF Deluxe E85 Models Unveiled in India

Hero MotoCorp has just pulled the wraps off its very first flex-fuel vehicles. They have chosen to give Flex Fuel compatible engines to two of their most famous everyday commuter bikes: the iconic Splendor+ and the HF Deluxe. In between all the Ethanol blending chaos and confusion this marks the official arrival of the country’s first-ever flex-fuel motorcycles in the popular 100cc segment. It is a major milestone in India’s journey towards cleaner, self-reliant transport, directly helping the national goal to cut economic carbon intensity by 45% by 2030.

These new commuter bikes can run on anything from E20 fuel right up to E85 ethanol-blended fuels.

The Big Reveal in New Delhi

The new eco-friendly lineup made its debut in New Delhi just ahead of World Environment Day. It was a high-profile event, with Hero MotoCorp CEO Harshavardhan Chitale presenting the bikes alongside two major Indian government figures: Shri Nitin Gadkari (Hon’ble Minister of Road Transport & Highways) and Shri Hardeep Singh Puri (Hon’ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas).

During the launch, the ministers highlighted how these eco-friendly 100cc bikes will support the country’s “Atmanirbhar Bharat” (self-reliant India) and “Viksit Bharat” (developed India) visions. By getting behind ethanol adoption, these bikes help local farmers, boost energy security, and cut down India’s massive bills for imported crude oil.

CEO Harshavardhan Chitale shared that the flex-fuel-ready Splendor+ and HF Deluxe were engineered locally at Hero’s Centre for Innovation & Technology (CIT) in Jaipur. He noted that the bikes have minimal-to-no import content, proving what India can achieve in cutting-edge, local manufacturing.

Launch Dates, Regional Rollout, and Pricing

Keen riders won’t have to wait too long to see them on the road. The new flex-fuel range is launching first in Delhi and select parts of Maharashtra in July 2026. A nationwide rollout across India will follow shortly after.

Here is how the pricing shapes up for the new models:

  • Hero HF Deluxe Flex Fuel price: INR 72,792 (Ex-showroom Delhi)
  • Hero Splendor+ Flex Fuel price: INR 82,710 (Ex-showroom Delhi)
