The MotoGP paddock is buzzing as Aprilia Racing and Monster Energy have officially announced a fresh, multi-year partnership. They are set to share a common path in the premier class of motorcycle racing, kicking things off at the Mugello MotoGP round. Starting from the just concluded 2026 Grand Prix of Italy, fans have seen the iconic, three-claw logo debut on the factory RS-GP bikes, the riders’ leathers, and key team assets.
This agreement marks a huge strategic step for the Noale-based manufacturer, and it is only going to get bigger. The deal acts as a massive reinforcement for their 2027 collaboration, which is when Monster Energy will officially step up to take on the role of team title sponsor.
Also, interestingly Jorge Martín no longer displayed Red Bull branding on his helmet or cap at the 2026 Italian Grand Prix at Mugello, marking the end of a 15-year personal sponsorship with the Austrian energy drink company.
A Perfect Match at the Perfect Time
Having a global giant like Monster Energy join forces with the squad is clear validation of the sheer strength and ambition behind the Aprilia Racing sporting project. Right now, the team is enjoying a period of robust growth, cementing its place as one of the main protagonists on the MotoGP grid. This new partnership is only going to help consolidate their impressive sporting and technological path.
The fact that Monster Energy is stepping up as Aprilia Racing’s first-ever title sponsor is a massive point of pride for the factory. As a global company, Monster Energy’s overall vision aligns perfectly with motorcycle racing. Both brands share the same core values: speed, adrenaline, passion, and pure excellence. You really couldn’t ask for a stronger union.
This partnership honestly couldn’t have arrived at a better moment for the Italian squad. Over the last few years, the manufacturer from Noale has been on a relentless upward trajectory.
Just look at what they achieved recently:
- In 2025: Aprilia was officially confirmed as the European manufacturer with the most wins in FIM Grand Prix World Championship history.
- The 2025 Season: They racked up their highest number of victories in a single season to date, secured third place in the riders’ championship thanks to Marco Bezzecchi, and locked in second place in the manufacturers’ championship.
- The 2026 Season: The team has carried that exact same momentum forward. They have already taken the first three Grand Prix wins of the year, bagged podium finishes in the opening five rounds, and celebrated a historic first-ever podium lockout at the French GP with an incredible 1-2-3 finish.
As it stands, the Aprilia Racing team is absolutely flying—currently leading the rider standings in first and second place, while the factory sits comfortably at the top of both the manufacturer and team standings.
What the Bosses Have to Say
Aprilia Racing CEO, Massimo Rivola, couldn’t hide his excitement about the milestone agreement:
“We are extremely happy to announce this partnership with a global company like Monster Energy, who will be alongside us in 2026 as main sponsor and who will take on the role of title sponsor in 2027. This agreement represents a milestone for Aprilia Racing and the crowning moment of our path of success. For this reason, we are particularly proud of this collaboration which will contribute to further reinforcing the ambition of our project. I would like to thank Monster Energy for the trust they have placed in us, and we will do everything we can to ensure that it pays off as we begin this new chapter together.”
Mitch Covington, the Senior Vice President of Sports Marketing at Monster Energy, was equally thrilled about jumping on board with the progressive Italian factory:
“Partnering with Aprilia Racing marks an exciting step forward for Monster Energy in MotoGP. The team has established itself as one of the most competitive and progressive forces in the championship, and we are looking forward to being part of that journey as it continues to evolve.
