KTM is making it a whole lot easier to join the “Ready to Race” family. The world’s top premium motorcycle brand has just pulled the covers off new 350cc engine variants for its legendary KTM 390 Duke and KTM 390 Adventure models. The big news here isn’t just the engine tweak—it’s the price tag. By moving to a 350cc heart, KTM has managed to slip these bikes into the lower 18% GST bracket. The best part? They are passing every penny of that tax saving directly to the riders, significantly lowering the entry price for these performance icons. Interestingly, the original 390 versions will also co-exist and continue to be sold with the new downsized 350cc versions. The OG 390 will be known as the 390 Duke R and while it’s not yet clear KTM have planned to differentiate the Adventure range.

New Engines, Same Aggressive DNA

Purists shouldn’t worry; the team in Mattighofen (and Pune) hasn’t watered down the experience. These new 350cc KTM models still pack a serious punch. Both the Duke and the Adventure variants churn out a healthy 41.5 PS of power and 33.5 Nm of torque.

KTM claims they have ensured that the “Ready to Race” soul remains intact. You’re getting the exact same:

  • Wheelbase and Ground Clearance
  • Advanced Technology and Rider Aids
  • Sharp Ergonomics and Aggressive Styling

The KTM 390 Duke remains that laser-focused “Corner Rocket” for the streets, while the KTM 390 Adventure stays true to its “go-anywhere” touring roots.

Cracking the Price Code

The shift in engine size is a clever bit of footwork to make these bikes more affordable without losing their premium edge. Here is how the starting prices look now (ex-showroom, Delhi):

  • KTM 390 Duke (350cc): ₹2,77,268
  • KTM 390 Adventure (350cc): ₹2,80,905

If you’ve still got your heart set on the bigger displacement, don’t panic. The existing 399cc models aren’t going anywhere. The KTM 390 Duke R, KTM 390 Adventure S, KTM 390 Adventure X, and the hardcore KTM 390 Adventure R will all continue to be sold alongside these new additions.

Expanding the 390 Community

This move is all about getting more bums on seats. Manik Nangia, President of Probiking at Bajaj Auto Ltd., mentioned that these bikes are some of the most aspirational bits of kit in India. By utilizing that 18% GST benefit, the brand is turning those aspirations into a reality for a much wider audience.

It’s a clear signal that KTM wants to grow its community. They’re betting that by making the KTM 390 range more accessible, they’ll see a whole new wave of riders discovering what it’s like to ride a proper performance machine.

So, if you’ve been eyeing up a 390 Duke or an Adventure but the price was just out of reach, your 2026 just got a whole lot more interesting. With the core attributes preserved and the entry price slashed, there’s never been a better time to head down to a KTM showroom.
