It looks like Royal Enfield is on a bit of a winning streak. According to the latest Brand Finance Automotive Industry 2026 report, the Indian bike maker has officially been named the third strongest automotive brand in the world. It’s a massive result that sees them rubbing shoulders with the absolute titans of the car and motorcycle world.
Taking on the Heavyweights
In a move that’s sure to turn heads, Royal Enfield managed to land just behind Toyota (in first place) and BMW (in second). What’s even more impressive is who they beat to get there; the brand actually outranked Audi, who came in fourth, and even the legendary Ferrari, which sat back in seventh.
The Numbers Behind the Success
So, how did they do it? The report gave Royal Enfield a Brand Strength Index score of 88.9 out of 100, earning them a top-tier AAA rating. On top of that, their overall brand value has shot up by 30 per cent, now reaching a whopping $1.2 billion. For a company that was once considered a bit of a niche player in the retro bike scene, these figures prove they’ve truly hit the mainstream.
A Global Powerhouse
The firm attributes this booming growth to a massive global expansion. They are now active in more than 80 countries, supported by a network of over 3,200 retail outlets. To keep up with demand, they’ve even set up seven international CKD assembly plants.
From Europe and South America to Southeast Asia and Australia, the sales performance has been incredibly strong. A huge part of the appeal is their knack for sticking to a winning formula:
- Simple Engineering: Bikes that are easy to live with and ride.
- Old-School Style: The classic look of the Hunter 350 and Super Meteor 650.
- Competitive Pricing: Delivering a premium feel while undercutting most of the competition.
A Diverse Range
It’s not just about the classics, though. The recent success of the Himalayan 450 has shown that Royal Enfield can do “adventure-ready” just as well as anyone else. They even have a range of new motorcycles incoming, including a Himalayan 750 and a new 250cc platform. With a range that’s richer and more diverse than ever, it’s clear that their climb up the global rankings is well-deserved. Whether you’re in London or Sydney, you can expect to see a lot more of that famous badge on the roads.
