Forget everything you know about standard bike launches. TVS Motor Company turned the automotive world on its head in Bengaluru with the TVS X Collectors’ Soirée. Instead of talking about top speeds and battery cycles, the evening was a high-end celebration of design, culture, and high fashion, positioning the TVS X electric scooter as a legitimate piece of wearable art.

This wasn’t just a party; it was the debut of three “one-of-one” custom TVS X creations. Developed in a sleek collaboration with celebrity fashion designer Manoviraj Khosla, these bikes moved the conversation away from mere specs and toward cultural storytelling.

Karnataka’s Heritage on Two Wheels

Bengaluru was the perfect backdrop for this event, considering its central role in TVS Motor’s EV journey. Each of the three custom machines drew deep inspiration from the architectural and artistic soul of Karnataka:

  • Hampi: Capturing the stone-carved majesty of the Vijayanagara Empire’s capital.
  • Channapatna: Celebrating the vibrant, traditional wooden toy craft of the region.
  • Mysuru Royalty: Channelling the grand aesthetics and regal history of the Mysore Palace.

Manoviraj Khosla, a Bengaluru legend himself, treated the TVS X as a “moving canvas,” blending modern engineering with regional identity. He even created a line of bespoke merchandise specifically for the collectors in attendance.

Mobility with a Mission: Supporting Local Artisans

The soirée was about more than just looking good. TVS used the platform to highlight the vital role of traditional craft in a high-tech world. Mala Dhawan, the founder of the non-profit A Hundred Hands, was a key voice at the event, speaking on the need for visibility and fair value for artisan communities across Karnataka.

In a move that proves this was about “progress with culture,” all proceeds from the collectors’ auction of these three unique bikes were directed toward A Hundred Hands. This ensures that while the TVS X looks toward the future, it’s also helping to sustain the traditional livelihoods of the past.

A New Era for the TVS X

According to Gaurav Gupta, President of the India Two Wheeler Business at TVS Motor Company, this is just “the first chapter.” The plan is to take this initiative across India, using the TVS X as a design canvas to reinterpret various regional art and architectural heritages.

For TVS, this signals a major shift. The TVS X isn’t being marketed as just a utility vehicle; it’s an evolution into the worlds of art and lifestyle. By merging technology with tradition, they are turning ownership into a form of cultural participation.

The TVS X Collectors’ Soirée proves that the next generation of electric mobility is about more than just getting from point A to point B—it’s about carrying a narrative. These bikes have been redefined as carriers of identity and cultural value, making them true “collectible pieces” in the burgeoning Indian EV market.
