Big news from the world of Triumph bikes! Triumph Motorcycles has just officially crossed the 1 lakh sales milestone on Indian roads. It’s been a wild ride since Bajaj Auto and Triumph kicked off their partnership in Q2 2023. By combining Triumph’s world-class engineering with Bajaj’s massive R&D, manufacturing muscle, and distribution network, the brand has hit this “1 lakh club” in just about 2.5 years.

A Growing Network and Global Reach

Triumph isn’t just for the big metro cities anymore. Today, you can find a Triumph presence in over 200 towns across India. The brand is backed by a solid network of more than 230 best-in-class stores nationwide, making it easier than ever to get your hands on a Speed 400 or a Scrambler 400 X.

But it’s not just India that’s loving these bikes. The Triumph 400 series, which is proudly manufactured right here in India, is being exported to 18 countries around the world, including:

  • Japan
  • Australia
  • Mexico
  • Taiwan
  • South Korea

More Than Just Motorcycles: The Community

What makes Triumph special isn’t just the hardware; it’s the community. Over the last few years, the brand has built a massive following through epic riding experiences like:

  • The World of Triumph & Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride: Bringing class and style to the streets.
  • Triumph Tiger Trails: For the adventure junkies.
  • Scrambler Rides & Bike Nights: Casual meetups and rugged trail sessions.
  • Western Ghats Twisties: Focused on the pure joy of cornering.

A Word from the Top

Manik Nangia, President of Probiking at Bajaj Auto, shared his excitement about the 100,000-bike milestone:

“Reaching 1 lakh Triumph motorcycles on Indian roads within just 2.5 years is a proud milestone for us. Triumph customers are discerning riders who have strongly endorsed our engineering… the brand has always been built for those who know the difference.”

What’s Next for Triumph India?

With 100,000 bikes already out there, Triumph and Bajaj are only looking to go bigger. They are committed to strengthening the premium motorcycle ecosystem and finding even more ways to engage with riders through specialized events and world-class service. One thing that threw a spanner in the works is the new GST rule that taxes bikes of 350 cc and above quite high. To counter this, Triumph and Bajaj are working on reworking their line up to 350s, at least for the Indian market. We think, they will simply reduce the stroke of the engine and associated timing changes to meet the 350 cc target. We are not expecting a name change.
