Talk about a massive moment for electric biking. Ultraviolette has just smashed a pretty historic milestone, becoming the absolute first Indian production motorcycle manufacturer to complete a lap of the legendary Isle of Man TT Mountain Circuit. If you know anything about bikes, you know this is easily one of the most demanding and iconic motorcycle courses on the planet.

The whole thing happened on the final day of the races, 6th June 2026, when 5 Ultraviolette F77 MACH 2 motorcycles successfully completed a lap of the famed 37.72-mile (that is 60.72 km) Mountain Course. This achievement is officially recognized by both the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records, with official confirmation landing on June 8, 2026.

An Elite Riding Crew

To pull off a record-breaking lap like this, they needed a proper line-up of riders. The F77 motorcycles were piloted by:

  • James Hillier – A former Isle of Man TT Winner who knows these roads inside out.
  • Ranvijay Singha – The well-known motorcycle enthusiast and actor.
  • Abhishek Vasudev – A multiple-time National Champion.

It is a defining moment not just for Ultraviolette Automotive as the record holder, but also for India’s rapidly advancing electric vehicle ecosystem. By conquering one of the most revered racing circuits in the world, the F77 has truly shown off the maturity and performance potential of Indian-engineered electric motorcycles on a global stage. It is also worth noting that the Ultraviolette F77 is currently the only Indian electric two-wheeler to be certified and retailing in the UK and 18 other countries across Europe.

Proving What Electric Bikes Can Really Do

Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, mentioned that completing a lap of the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course with the F77s is a significant milestone for the company and a proud moment for Indian design and engineering. He explained that it proves just how far electric motorcycle technology has evolved, reinforcing their belief that high-performance electric mobility can compete on the world’s most demanding stages.

“For decades, the Isle of Man TT has been where motorcycle technology is tested, proven, and celebrated,” Narayan added. “The TT Zero class was ahead of its time and showed the world that electric motorcycles could be more than an alternative; that they could be genuinely exciting, competitive and capable. Today, electric motorcycles have reached an entirely new level of capability, and we would love to see electric racing return to the Isle of Man TT and continue driving the next chapter of motorcycle innovation.”

This massive accomplishment marks yet another major chapter in Ultraviolette’s ongoing journey to push the boundaries of electric mobility, as they continue working to establish India as a global leader in next-generation mobility solutions.
