Aprilia has done it again. The Italian racing giants have just announced that their latest masterpiece, the Aprilia X 250TH, has officially sold out. In a staggering show of demand, all 30 units of this ultra-exclusive machine were snapped up in just 14 days. This isn’t the first time the brand has seen such a frenzy; the X 250TH has perfectly replicated the record-breaking sales pace of its predecessor, the RSV4 X-GP, which also vanished from the order books in exactly a fortnight.
A Celebration of Independence and Speed
The bike made its grand debut at the United States Grand Prix on 27 March 2026. It wears a spectacular “Stars and Stripes” livery, specifically designed to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the US Declaration of Independence (4 July 1776).
But while the paint job is a nod to history, the technology underneath is purely from the future. The Aprilia X 250TH holds the title of being the first and only motorcycle in the world available to the public equipped with carbon-carbon brakes. These are the exact same stopping systems used in the top-tier MotoGP class, offering a braking feel previously reserved for the likes of Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín.
MotoGP Tech for the Lucky Few
This machine is more than just a collector’s item; it’s a bridge between a production bike and a racing prototype. Aprilia’s “X” series has become legendary for this exact reason.
- U.S. Market: 25 units are earmarked for the States at an MSRP of $150,000. (Rs 1.4 Cr)
- Rest of World: Only 5 units will be available for other markets (like Europe) for €115,000 + VAT. (Rs 1.2 Cr)
Key Performance Specs:
- Braking Excellence: The carbon-carbon brake setup delivers a level of performance that mirrors the Aprilia RS-GP prototype.
- Aerodynamics: The bike features the very latest generation of MotoGP-derived seat wings, ensuring maximum stability and downforce at high speeds.
- Exclusivity: As the sixth generation of the “X” project, it follows in the footsteps of icons like the RSV4 X (2019), Tuono X (2020), and the RSV4 X ex3ma (2024).

The “X” Factor: A Growing Legacy
The massive media buzz and social media frenzy surrounding the launch at COTA (Circuit of the Americas) made it clear that the Aprilia X 250TH was going to be a hit. According to Massimo Rivola, CEO of Aprilia Racing, these bikes are “jewels” designed for riders who want the closest possible experience to riding a genuine MotoGP bike.
Since the project started in 2019, Aprilia has used the “X” designation to push the absolute limits of what a customer can actually buy. With this sixth successful sell-out, the brand has firmly established itself as the king of high-performance, limited-edition exotica.
The Aprilia X Timeline:
| Year | Model |
| 2019 | RSV4 X |
| 2020 | Tuono X |
| 2022 | RSV4 X Trenta |
| 2024 | RSV4 X ex3ma |
| 2025 | RSV4 X-GP |
| 2026 | X 250TH |
While the 30 lucky owners are likely tucked away in their garages celebrating, the rest of the world will have to wait and see what Aprilia’s racing department cooks up for the seventh generation. One thing is for sure: you’ll need to be quick on the “buy” button when it arrives!
