Mahindra has officially pulled back the curtain on its long-awaited lifestyle pickup truck. Evolving from the 2023 Global Pik Up concept, the newly named Scorpio Lifestyler is taking direct aim at established players like the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross in India. Underneath its bold exterior, the double-cab pickup shares the same rugged body-on-frame chassis as the Scorpio N.
Pricing and Launch Window Mahindra has confirmed that prices for the Scorpio Lifestyler will start under Rs 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom) in India, with an expected launch date by April 2027. This competitive price tag significantly undercuts its segment rivals, both of which carry prices above Rs 25 lakh.
Exterior Design and Special Editions At the front, the Scorpio Lifestyler features high-set LED headlamps with L-shaped DRL signatures, a wide honeycomb-patterned grille with chrome accents, and a distinct ‘Scorpio’ wordmark on the bonnet’s leading edge. The front design is completed by a meshed air dam, vertically oriented LED fog lamps, and a muscular skid plate displaying ‘Mahindra’ lettering.
From the side, the double-cab body showcases dual-tone alloy wheels, chunky side cladding, roof rails, and a signature kinked beltline. Around the back, the rear is highlighted by vertically oriented LED tail-lamps housing C-shaped DRLs, a large ‘Mahindra’ wordmark etched directly onto the boot lid, and a ruggedly styled bumper.
To suit different lifestyle preferences, Mahindra will offer the pickup in three environment-inspired editions, each featuring distinct decals and custom accessories:
- Valley Edition: Finished in Artemis Grey (representing mountain environments)
- Reef Edition: Finished in Aquareef (representing ocean environments)
- Trail Edition: Finished in Sahara Beige (representing desert environments)
Interior Layout and Modern Tech Inside, the cabin takes an upmarket approach. The dashboard features a prominent portrait-oriented touchscreen infotainment system flanked by vertical AC vents. Beneath the display sits a dedicated climate control panel along with physical buttons, complemented by additional tactile controls along the transmission tunnel. The driver is greeted by a three-spoke steering wheel and a digital driver’s display. In terms of comfort and convenience, the truck is expected to offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, connected car technology, terrain modes, and more.

Engine Options, Gearboxes, and 4WD Under the bonnet, the Scorpio Lifestyler is anticipated to mirror the Scorpio N’s engine lineup:
- 2.2-litre Diesel Engine: Producing 175hp
- 2.0-litre Direct-Injection Turbo-Petrol Engine: Producing 203hp
Transmission choices are also expected to match the Scorpio N, offering a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque-converter automatic. To back up its off-road styling, a 4WD system is expected to feature as well.
Global Rollout Beyond the Indian market, Mahindra plans to sell the pickup truck internationally across Australia, New Zealand, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and South Africa. For these overseas markets, the vehicle will drop the ‘Scorpio’ prefix and be sold simply as the Lifestyler.
