Triumph Motorcycles has just officially unveiled the Triumph Tracker 400. Priced at ₹2,46,225 (ex-showroom Delhi), this agile and minimalist looking machine is designed for urban riders who want a modern classic but with a sporty twist. Inspired by the raw, stripped-back world of flat track racing, the Tracker 400 channels that “born in the dirt” attitude directly onto the tarmac.
Performance: The Enhanced TR-Series Heart
At the core of the Tracker 400 is an enhanced 350cc TR-Series engine. Thanks to Triumph’s clever engineering, it delivers a punchy 40 PS at 8,750 rpm and most importantly 32 NM @ 7500 rpm. Because it sits in that sweet 350cc bracket, it also benefits from the 18% GST advantage, helping Triumph keep that premium quality at a much more accessible price point.
The engine stays true to the “Modern Classic” look with powder-coated covers and those iconic bright-machined cylinder head fins, all while delivering a spirited, high-performance ride. You can sort of say that it looks like a mix of the Scrambler 400 and the Speed 400, especially since it carries the same exhaust of the Scrambler.

Flat Track Styling and Aesthetics
The Tracker 400 stands out with an unmistakable silhouette. It’s got that aggressive, “ready-to-slide” look characterized by:
- Race-Inspired Bodywork: A boxy fuel tank with sculpted knee cut-outs, a colour-coded seat cowl, and a dedicated number board proudly displaying ‘400’.
- Paint & Graphics: Available in Racing Yellow, Phantom Black, and Aluminium Silver Gloss. The liveries feature bold Tracker lettering and racing stripes with a dramatic “mud-splatter” detail that looks fast even when parked.
- The Silhouette: A fly screen and dual-spoke cast aluminium wheels wrapped in MRF REVZ FD1 tyres complete the authentic flat track aesthetic.

Engineered for the “Twisty” Bits
Triumph says they have given the Tracker a dedicated chassis for sharper handling and a more engaged feel.
- The Stance: You get flat, wide handlebars and repositioned footpegs, putting the rider in a dominating, upright position.
- Suspension: Up front are black anodised 43mm upside-down big piston forks, while the rear features a gas monoshock RSU. Both ends offer 140mm of travel, with preload adjustment at the back for when you’ve got a pillion.
- Braking: Powerful four-piston radial callipers provide progressive stopping power, backed up by switchable ABS.
Tech That Stays Out of Sight
Triumph has been meticulous about keeping the wiring hidden to preserve that clean, timeless look. Despite the retro vibes, the tech is very much 2026:
- Rider Aids: It comes with a torque-assist clutch, switchable traction control, and a neat single-dial analogue speedo paired with a digital tachometer.
- Accessibility: With a seat height of 805 mm, it’s accessible for a wide range of riders, offering a direct and confidence-inspiring connection to the road.
The Tracker 400 seems like a fun take on this platform and targeted at the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450. Looking forward to ride this one.
