Ultraviolette has officially announced that its most anticipated upcoming lightweight motorcycle, the Shockwave, will feature the brand’s newly developed 100V architecture. Riders won’t have to wait too long to see it in action, as the company has locked in a release window for the first quarter of 2027.
The transition to this advanced 100V electric setup opens the door to punchier power delivery, superior thermal efficiency, and significantly quicker charging capabilities for Ultraviolette’s lightweight motorcycle platform.
Built for the Thrill of Riding
Dubbed the FUNDURO, the Shockwave was conceived from the ground up around pure riding enjoyment. Taking direct cues from the raw, spirited nature of vintage two-stroke motorbikes, the model represents Ultraviolette’s interpretation of unfiltered, two-wheeled fun.
To ensure everything runs smoothly ahead of the Q1 2027 rollout, the manufacturer has already started preparing the Shockwave production line inside its existing manufacturing facility. Bikers will also appreciate the versatility on offer, as Ultraviolette confirmed the motorcycle will come in both single-seat and dual-seat setups.
Parallel Development and Shared Technology
Commenting on the announcement, Narayan Subramaniam, Co-founder and CEO of Ultraviolette, highlighted the ethos behind the project:
“From the outset, we envisioned the Shockwave as a motorcycle that would bring back the pure enjoyment of riding. Bringing our 100V architecture to the Shockwave is an important step in realising that vision. When it launches in Q1 2027, we are certain it will be an exceptionally engaging motorcycle to ride. The Shockwave and Tesseract have been in parallel development over the past year and work is already underway to set up the Shockwave production line at our existing facility.”
Integrating the 100V architecture into the Shockwave follows Ultraviolette’s earlier decision to incorporate the same tech into the Tesseract. Although both electric bikes are tailored for completely different riding styles and use cases, adopting the platform across both platforms showcases the marque’s ongoing commitment to electric vehicle innovation.
