Skoda Auto India has officially unveiled the mid-lifecycle facelift for the 2026 Slavia, bringing subtle cosmetic tweaks, significant tech upgrades, and a major mechanical update to its entry-level powertrain.
Pre-bookings for the refreshed mid-size sedan are officially underway. Skoda is slated to announce official variant-wise pricing in the first week of October, with customer deliveries scheduled to commence around the upcoming festive season.
1. Subtle Exterior Tweaks & New Colour Options
While the Slavia carries forward its recognisable, sophisticated silhouette, the facelift introduces sharper design details across the bodywork:
- Refreshed Front Fascia: Features reprofiled LED projector headlamps with updated dotted LED DRL signatures, a revised front grille with updated chrome detailing, an updated bumper air dam, and new LED fog lamps that replace the outgoing halogen units.
- Rear Profile: Gains Kushaq-inspired sequential rear turn indicators, tweaked LED tail-lamp graphics, and a revised connecting trim on the boot lid with prominent ‘ŠKODA’ lettering.
- Fresh Paint Palette: Introduces Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige (with deliveries for the beige shade starting in December). These join existing shades: Shimla Green, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Carbon Steel, Steel Grey, Lava Blue, Cherry Red, and Deep Black.

2. Upgraded Cockpit, Screens & Segment-First Comfort
The cabin retains its layered dashboard and dual-tone beige-and-black layout, but receives meaningful equipment updates:
- Segment-First Rear-Seat Massage Function: Borrowed from the Kushaq, adding a touch of chauffeur-driven luxury to the rear bench.
- Larger Digital Screens: A new 10.1-inch central touchscreen infotainment system (up from the previous 10-inch unit) and a larger 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display (replacing the older 8-inch unit), both loaded with refreshed UI graphics.
- 360-Degree Surround Camera: Replaces the previous rear-only camera setup for easier low-speed parking manoeuvres, complemented by front parking sensors.
- Improved Climate Control: Equipped with a new variable-displacement compressor designed to deliver faster and more effective air-conditioning performance in hot Indian summers.
- Key Carryovers & Misses: Retains a single-pane electric sunroof (a panoramic roof is not offered) and continues without an ADAS suite.

3. Powertrains: New 8-Speed Automatic for the 1.0 TSI
The headline mechanical upgrade arrives in the transmission department for the 1.0-litre TSI engine:
| Engine | Power / Torque | Transmission Options | Key Changes |
| 1.0-Litre TSI (3-Cyl Turbo-Petrol) | 115 hp / 178 Nm | 6-Speed Manual / 8-Speed Torque-Converter AT | New 8-Speed AT replaces the previous 6-speed torque converter for smoother low-speed city shifts. |
| 1.5-Litre TSI (4-Cyl Turbo-Petrol) | 150 hp / 250 Nm | 7-Speed DSG (Dual-Clutch AT) | Carried over with active cylinder deactivation technology. |
4. Expected Pricing & Rivals
The outgoing Skoda Slavia is priced between ₹10.00 lakh and ₹18.19 lakh (ex-showroom). With the host of tech additions and the new 8-speed gearbox, the 2026 facelift is expected to command a price increase of up to ₹85,000, placing the estimated ex-showroom pricing between ₹10.25 lakh and ₹18.75 lakh.
Upon its commercial launch in October, the refreshed Slavia will rekindle its rivalry with the Hyundai Verna, Honda City, and its corporate sibling, the Volkswagen Virtus.
